☆ General Species Information ☆

Lilipeeps are a small bipedal species that spreads in almost every corner of the world, as long as there's a water source of any kind. These small sentient creatures evolved from the lily pads growing in the clean waters of the area.

The members of this species are natural at trading and marketing business and get along with symphonies just fine, sometimes sharing territory for the construction of villages, markets and even living in mixed societies. Just like symphs their small size (about 3.5 inches tall) make them an easy snack for bigger creatures, however their bodies are rubbery and secrete a thick bitter liquid to protect them from both the heat and fend off potential predators.

A group of Lilipeeps is called a Blanket, as their pads can cover an entire area. For a blanket to thrive the lilies need to have a clean source of water or their pad hats will absorb toxins and cause them breathing problems. They are not natural born warriors and prefer to hang around friendly species, such as symphs, to feel protected.

☆ Life Cycle ☆

For a new lilipeep to be born two adults must take a piece of their pad hat roots and plant submerge them in a small recipient with clean, freshwater. The roots will eventually intertwine and a tiny lilypad will eventually flourish, once the hat reaches a certain size a baby lilie will be born. Lilipeeps can only have one child at a time and the infant will depend on their parents until they reach maturity.

☆ Biology & Anatomy ☆

Lilipeeps have very small, rubbery, hollow bones under all the fat in their bodies, this is meant for them to be able to float enough for their pad hats to rest above water surface. Like any other plant they need to breathe carbon dioxide from the atmosphere while releasing oxygen into the water helping the ecosystem. Their round bodies make them a very sturdy, despite clumsy, species.

Head Chubby faces! Lilipeeps always have one pair of ears with four variations for them. The shape of the ears don't affect their hearing at all and all of them are commonly seen, they can be pierced or have small cuts. All lilies have sharp beaks, even when having a different texture the beak will remain the same hard texture seen in parrots. They don't rely on eyesight at all and their eyes are closed at all times, it's a mystery to how they would look with open eyes.

Pad Hat The most remarkable part of a lilipeep. All of these creatures must have At Least one lilypad on top of their heads, some have multiple. The lilypad is the way a lilie breathes and in some cases they can even feed themselves through photosynthesis (though these tubbers definitely enjoy a good meal more than this). The lily can have any kind of plant, flower or even fruit to adorn them, it's not limited at all.

Body They have the clumsy shape of a penguin! Round, chubby and clumsy friends who need to waddle to walk. All lilies have fins on their arms, these can have any shape at all but must be present. The usual feel of their skin is that of rubber, completely smooth and slippery.

Tail Tails help lilies move underwater, there are five tail variations of different rarities. While tails can have details to make them unique they always have those five specific shapes.
