About

Mouse, or Ella as she was named at birth (she would later earn the nickname of Mouse from her parents thanks to her high-pitched voice and it stuck), was the first child born unto a couple who had settled in Ecruteak City in the Johto region. Her mother was native to Johto by birth, albeit from a different city originally (Cherrygrove), whereas her father had moved there from Floaroma Town in Sinnoh. The two ran a small business together in the form of a flower shop in order to get by, with Mouse's father having been an expert gardener back in his Sinnoh hometown and once been a former employee of the well-known flower shop in said town. Given that she was surrounded by flora on a daily basis during her childhood it was only natural that Mouse develop a keen fondness for flowers and plants, with her having particular adoration for those with the brightest colours. Given that Mouse also happened to be on the Autistic Spectrum - specifically she has Asperger's Syndrome - that only amplified that fondness for them; someone who is autistic will often develop extreme likings or even obsessions for things most people would only mildly feel inclined towards.

She was never an especially daring or socially confident girl. Though she was certainly generous and remarkably affectionate once she finally made a friend, she suffered from considerable anxiety around strangers if alone and was easily made to panic by the mere concept of confrontation. This nervousness, coupled with her shorter stature and somewhat scrawnier build, made her the occasional target of unwelcome teasing. Nonetheless Mouse found comfort in her work at her parents' flower shop and her own gardening work. One day, however, she heard from a friend who was travelling the Alola region at the time and with it got her first glimpse of its vibrant islands via some photographs her friend had sent. From those photos alone Mouse became instantly captivated with the place and made it her ultimate goal to see it one day for herself; she began setting aside almost all of her personal earnings for the trip. Having heard about this, her parents began secretly saving up themselves and on her 18th birthday they presented her with those savings... with which, in combination with her own personal hard-earned savings, she would be able to not only visit Alola but actually move there. Naturally Mouse was nervous about this development, but her excitement overtook her anxiety just this once. At long last she was going to be able to pursue her dream.

Mouse asked the very friend who'd first inspired her to visit Alola in the first place which town would be best suited to someone like her. After speaking to said friend she narrowed her choices down to Iki Town on Melemele Island or Paniola Town on Akala Island; ultimately it was Iki Town that Mouse ultimately decided to move to, given that it was a slightly smaller place that she felt she could settle into more easily. Once she moved in she began work on a second passion project of hers - partly in order to feel at home and partly due to her love of vibrant colour, she wanted to create a beautiful garden featuring flowers and plants from across each of the islands (as well as a few from back home). Her garden is near and dear to her heart even now, with each of her Pokemon helping her with it in some way. She since even used it to start a business of her own; her gardening expertise has led her to being a successful Berry Farmer, supplying top-quality berries to places such as the Paniola Ranch and Pokemon Nursery. She's been considering expanding her business to Pokemon sanctuaries and daycare centres outside of Alola via the use of her mother's Skarmory as a courier for the service, something her mother is in support of given Mouse's offer to split the profit if that plan came to be.
