• stories go that he was born during a blood moon thousands of years ago to an ancient fae that was corrupted by.... something
• the child's magical aura was immense, so strong that it was unable to provide all the energy by itself...
• and it had to resort to drink blood (first animals, then other Viscets) to nurture itself
• the truth is that he is son to Lilith, who might as well have been the first vampire ever, and a fae father
  
• the Baron grew into a powerful beast and even many centuries later, nothing managed to kill him yet
• he's a... scrungly looking fellow by now, tattered feathers, faded colors, so many scars
• it also seems like he is becoming more and more feral as the years pass... (or he just pretends, to be left alone)
• him and Vlad have a frenemies relationship going on, the two of them definitely had a thing in the way gone past and Vlad is still salty
• the Baron couldn't care less, he is too old (and too powerful) to hold grudges... if he really doesn't like someone, he just bites off their head
• generally, he is very calm and collected and mostly just bares his teeth
