Astro is a hybrid of four emojis: the alien, the robot, the sparkle heart, and the starry eyes face. All of her robot powers are love-based (the beams that shoot from her eyes are heart-shaped), indicating pretty strongly that this is a gal with a sensitive side. It's kinda hard to find work when you don't fit into any one criteria or the emoji status quo, so Smiler hires her to do basic henchman work. Astro's kinda bad at it, but she's grateful for the opportunity all the same.
