TW: ABUSE
Charla was born in the ring of wrath, living pretty much her whole childhood here as well, alongside her half-sister Kat, and her mother. Charla didn’t have a good childhood, due to growing up with an abusive, controlling mother, who had little to no care for either of her children. Charla didn’t have much of a childhood at all due to her mother always forcing her to train and learn to fight, frequently isolating her from the outside world. Charla’s mother is the leader of a powerful gang known as the Blueblood Gang, and as a child her mom would frequently hurt or threaten to kill Charla and her sister if she didn’t listen to her commands or rejected her mother’s wishes of wanting Charla to join the gang when she got older. Despite Charla becoming a strong fighter and developing a love for killing, she was always against the idea of joining her mother’s gang, always planning to leave with her sister and do their own thing. Growing up Charla always had to protect her sister from her mother’s abuse, taking the brunt of most of the abuse. Despite living a horrible childhood, Charla always tried to stay strong, and someday find the strength to run away from home with her sister.
As a teenager Charla continued getting stronger through her training, still having to deal with her mother’s abuse, but was able to stand up to her more often. As a teen Charla would also regularly start sneaking out of the house, exploring around the area and doing whatever she liked. During this time she met another demon named Striker, who she eventually fell in love with and started dating around the age of 18 or so. Charla would tell Striker about all the abuse her and her sister dealt with at home, becoming very close to him, the two always hanging out together every time Charla would sneak out of the house. Throughout the next few years Charla and Striker would also train and fight together as well, Charla slowly gaining more and more courage in herself.
…Her life changed significantly at the age of 23, where her mother finally decided that Charla and Kat needed to officially join her gang. Charla stood against her mother’s wishes and said no, angering her mother greatly as they ended up in a fight. Charla then ran away from home with her sister, her mother threatening to hunt down and kill the two the second they saw them again, trying to track the two down with her gang. Charla ended up running away to a farther away city, renting a small apartment for her and her sister to live in. Sadly, during this time, she was forced to suddenly end her relationship with Striker, due to being forced to not enter the ring of wrath out of fear of getting found and killed by her mother’s gang. During this time Charla started working as an assassin for the next year or so, barely making enough money to pay for her and Kat’s new home. Charla hated living in the cities however, and greatly missed her old homelands, also greatly missing Striker as well. Many months after moving to the cities, Charla took the occasional trips to the ring of wrath, doing her best to hide from her mother’s gang, where she would also visit Striker.
Charla isn’t that happy with the life she lives, hating living in the cities with a low amount of profit. Someday she’d like to find the courage to face down and defeat her mother’s gang, so she can move back to her homelands with Kat, and get back together with Striker.
