Connections:

Chelsea Stella Roberts: A fellow Thendrofina who also had been adopted into human society and is currently one of Professor MacLaine's study cases on 'modernized Thendrofinas'. Travis sees Chelsea as his younger cousin figure and enjoys spending time with her when he comes over to her farm. He has tried teaching Chelsea how to play cricket although it often ends with Chelsea resting in the shade as she's not that big of a fan of sports as he is.

Alistair Iversen: A Baabi who is a frequent visitor of the Roberts' farm, and had revealed to Travis that he has a crush on Chelsea and begged him to keep it a secret. Although Alistair doesn't live in the UK, the two connect online often over chatting and gaming sessions and go along quite well...though Travis sometimes wished Alistair would not kick his ass that often during games.

Backstory:

Years before he met Chelsea, Professor Ansel MacLaine, whose studies were fixated on the behavior and mannerisms of a certain magical species, the Thendrofinas or the 'Tree Does', was visiting his home town in the Scottish Highlands when he came across a forest, burned down to the ground. On the outskirts of the forest though, there was a young fawn, no older than a few years old, lying by his own and crying for help. MacLaine immediately recognized the fawn as a Thendrofina, and after talking with the locals, learnt that there was indeed a fire a few weeks earlier, supposedly due to careless human activity, which burnt down the forest. While angry, MacLaine had compassion for the young fawn, and he took him back to his home town. After a few days of taking care of the kid, he named him Travis after his father. While a part of him knew since Thendrofinas live in secluded clans in the forest, away from human activity, and that the best care he could give to Travis was send him back into nature; yet he had a selfish thought, and wondered if it would be possible to raise a Thendrofina in the human world, that and he had gotten too attached to the kid to have the heart to send him away. After a long thought, he decided he would try and raise the kid and took him back to Manchester where he worked and lived. 

Travis was raised as a normal kid, albeit with hooves and horns. He was curious about the world, and despite him being from a shy introverted species, adapted very quickly to the human world. MacLaine used his knowledge and studies to watch over Travis, looking out for him as he started sprouted his branch-like antlers and demonstrated his ability to manipulate to the plants around their home. One fateful day, MacLaine saw blue and pink flowers bloom on his son's antlers: hydrangeas, but that only confused him as they didn't have any hydrangea bushes planted around their area. Then he saw it: a potted hydrangea plant, a rather small one actually, on the doorstep of their neighbor's home across the street. A quick chat revealed that the neighbor had obtained the plant just a few days ago and had planned on planting it sooner that day, but fortunately after hearing MacLaine's story she agreed to sell the plant to them. MacLaine considered planting the hydrangeas for a moment...but then he decided it might be better if he left the plant alone in the pot, and that's exactly what he did: he placed the pot in a small trolley and every time he and Travis went out, he carried his mother plant around so that Travis is around his plant at all times. It was around that moment MacLaine got in contact with a case regarding another 'civilized' Thendrofina in the name of Chelsea Stella Roberts, and he started paying regular visits to the cherry plantation where she lived to understand her more, Travis following him at times, seeing Chelsea as his shy cousin figure where they bounded over their experiences of being Thendrofinas in the modern world. 

When he was up to age, it was time for Travis to receive his education. MacLaine wanted to homeschool him, fearing he might get bullied from being different with his flowers and stuff, but quickly Travis got jealous seeing all the children his age able to learn and play and insisted on getting into a public school. It took a while, but MacLaine gave him, telling Travis to be careful and keep a keen eye on his mother plant at all times. Unfortunately, MacLaine's concerns soon became a reality for the young fawn, as he quickly stood out from the crowd with his flowers and hooves, the fact he had to carry a flower pot around, as well as having a noticeable Scottish accent, earning the nickname of 'Flower Boy'. Travis was a curious lad though, so he ignored all the jeers and focused on his education though deep down he was angered by all the bullying. However, the bullying never ceased in the least and one day it came to a head when he was ten where during recess, he was confronted by some of the bullies and in a fit of anger, Travis fought back which led to a full-blown fist-fight landing all of them in detention, as well as leaving a scar on his face and broken antlers that took months to heal. MacLaine was also called in and although he was concerned about his son's treatment in school, he believed what Travis did was wrong and he had to do something with that temper of his. 

A teacher who served in detention recommended the young boy to head out and try to engage in socialization activities, and as he was also the head of the school's cricket team, asked if Travis was interested in trying out for the team. The Thendrofina, despite not having wielded a bat of any sort before, took it like a fish to water, and soon he was enjoying himself greatly on the playing field. Soon, he started spending less time huddling by himself in the library or behind a school desk and started hanging out with peers similar to his age, who didn't care at all about his features. Of course, being a Thendrofina, Travis' main concern is still his mother plant, and thus he could be seen watering and tending to his hydrangea plant from time to time, even skipping training sessions when the weather proved a threat to his beloved plant but it didn't affect his progress the slightest, and soon he was known as one of the team's most promising players, a skill which aided him as he weaved through his years in school.

Of course, being the adoptive son of a Professor who specialized in the study of Thendrofinas, Travis was taught in his spare time how to harness the power of his species, primarily drawing energy from his mother plant at its max (which proved very useful during his training and matches), and how to spread traces of his mother plant. Having only one crystal meant spreading hydrangea sprouts isn't the easiest since he didn't have much magic to work with but he trained with persistence and soon he was able to create hydrangeas (well, tiny hydrangeas) as he wished. This soon became a habit of him, where after every important visit, whether is after a match with his cricket team, routine visits to the Roberts' cherry farm, or visits back to MacLaine's Scottish hometown as well as the grassland which was formerly the burnt-down forest in which he was found in to pay his respects, he'll spread a few hydrangea sprouts as a sign of remembering to himself.

Now, Travis has grown up and partly wanting to know more about his species, has decided to pursue a degree in Biology and Environment in his father's university. He's also gotten his hair dyed to show his connection to his mother plant, no longer scared of hiding the fact that he's a so-called 'Flower Boy'. He still does regular visits to the Roberts' cherry farm to visit Chelsea, as well as meeting Alistair Iversen, a Danish Baabi who's also a regular to the cherry farm. Finding a connection with Travis, Alistair revealed he has a crush on Chelsea to the Thendrofina, begging him to keep it a secret; Travis has currently upheld the promise, and despite being from different countries and species, the two had managed to strike up an unlikely friendship, spending fun times over gaming sessions. 

Trivia:

- Travis is a Thendrofina, which is a Closed Species by MarcooftheMoon. You are NOT allowed to make one without permission.

- Travis' original design is by honeylampzz on DA. I had gotten permission to change his wardrobe and minor parts of his design prior to redesigning him.

- His birthday is on 27th September, which is the date I had officially adopted him from MarcooftheMoon.

- Travis' mother plant is a hydrangea. After a Google search I realized large hydrangea bushes exist but since they only exist as potted plants where I'm currently at I decided to use the latter instead since that is something I'm more familiar with and a bit more interesting to work with.

- On the subject of his mother plant, due to its small size he carries it around in a small trolley like a wheelie luggage when he goes out, and so he is able to go to further distances than a normal Thendrofina could.

- The gemstone located on his neck is probably an Aquamarine.

- Speaks with a noticeable Scottish accent, but it gets thicker when he gets agitated or mad in which his words start to become unintelligible.  

- Is a natural brunet, but was allowed to dye his hair to showcase his connection with his flowers. His eyes are naturally blue, but one changed color when he gotten his connection to his mother tree.

- Sometimes likes growing lil' hydrangea plants out of the ground for funsies, but it may lead to annoyance if he does it on the cricket field he and his team were playing on.
