Jasper carry’s a countenance of poise and refinement, or so he’d like you to believe. Though digging deeper, his eccentricities start to sprout to the surface of that noble guise. He is a recluse in the truest sense of the word, a wolf among sheep, he hides his true vampiric nature behind a mask of normalcy—or at least attempts to to the best of his ability. When it comes to himself, Jasper is a gravely sad individual, consumed by the loneliness of his own self-isolation and fear of dying. Such a long existence full of bloodshed and bottomless thirst has left his mind waning between sanity and insanity. Still, a desire for connection kindles within his cold heart, so too does a longing for change, and a need for redemption and purpose. While jasper prides himself on his silver tongue and quick wit, he is not without his moments of clumsiness. When taken off guard, his social skills seem to vary and wane from person to person, seldom does he make the effort to truly connect with the human world. Though in the off chance he does, Jasper will always put his best foot forward into maintaining that bond, almost to a fixating degree. In that regard he is very uncertain of himself, he doesn’t know how to act or what to say, which can make him quite volatile at times, always teetering somewhere in between lighthearted and serious. He finds amusement in banter and small-talk, as it helps to keep him anchored, and to maintain assurance that he is still somewhat human. Even still, one cannot prevent the desensitization of the horrors of his nightly hunts, Jasper can sometimes act with callousness, disregarding the value in human life, and frequently making distasteful and macabre jokes whenever he is given the opportunity. Again, all for the sake of keeping himself sane, humor helps to abate his deep seated guilt for terrorizing the town of Timbervale for as long as he has. He is very scientific in his ways, and has a great knowledge on herbal remedies, medicines and human sicknesses. He has spent much of his eternity dedicated to researching his own ailment; vampirism, ways to cure it, and how to manage the deadly desire to feed on human blood.
