Afya is a calm and kind hearted tigress whose main goal in life is to heal those around her so that they can prosper to their fullest. She will never back down from a challenge but always knows her limits and makes sure to never push past them, although when it comes to her work those limits are almost always ignored. Her relaxed attitude makes for an easy person to talk to as she’s always there to lend an ear and give whatever good advice she’s able to offer. Afya is someone who makes a good friend due to her unwavering loyalty and please all disposition, although there are times she can get herself into a tight spot while trying to keep everyone happy which can cause more harm than she ever intends. Over all Afya is a gentle soul who loves helping but also has her own dark secrets.

Childhood

Afya was born to a pride of tigers far off in the lands of Msituni and most of the land has been lost to her mind except for the large red trees that seemed to block out the endless sky. She had a very loving family in her mother, father, grandmother (fathers side), as well as her grandfather (mothers side). It stayed nice and peaceful for quite some time, all of the tigers within the pride helping on another when they could, but the struggles within the pride soon caught up to them and Afya saw it first hand. Her grandfather had come down with some kind of fever and the healers within the pride were unable to help. They had lacked the magic required for the kind of fever that took hold of him and had led to his untimely death. It wasn't long after that she had lost another closer member within the pride and her heart broke. She was confused and had just lost one of her best friends and she knew nothing else but the pounding of her paws beneath her as she ran through the forest. She had been out of breath, crying and was now off balance which caused her to trip over her own paws, flipping and landing hard on the ground. It wasn’t until she sat up and rubbed the tears from her eyes did she realize she had a cut on her belly that was bleeding a small bit. It didn’t hurt but still she made her way back home, wishing for the comfort of her mothers embrace sniffing and snotting the whole way back. Once she arrived back her mother greeted her with the embrace Afya knew she would and the tears came once more. After a small bit her mother pushed her back just a bit and noticed her belly cut and brought it once more to Afya’s attention. As Afya looked down at her cut she placed a paw over it and thought to her friend, how they could still be alive with just a little extra magic. It was a moment of silence and then a gasp was heard from her mother and the young tigress looked to her mother. Her black stripes had turned a brilliant blue, shining so brightly it almost seemed white, and her eyes were no longer green but the same blinding blue that her stripes had turned. As soon as Afya noticed what was going on her mother began to cry. Confused, she went to console her mother only for the older tiger to stop her and point to the uneven and rough scar that was now where the open cut had been on Afya’s belly. Her mother quickly grabbed the cubs scruff in her jaws and ran to the center of the pride, calling and gathering everyone around she explained what had happened and together the pride had come to the decision that it was best to send the young tigress off to a more well known pride that was more experienced in magics to teach her and raise her up so that she may one day return home one her craft had been mastered. Her journey was long and tiring, being carried by her father for most of the trek and sleeping for half of it. They arrived a few weeks of non stop walking and were greeted and welcomed right away after explaining their reasoning for making the journey. Once their goodbyes had been said Afya was now shown around and told her schedule and after a nights rest her new routine began.

Teen Years

Her life had gone pretty slow after arriving, always doing the same things everyday she had grown into a safe routine and had found comfort in it. Her powers had grown only a little and it seemed as though her progress had slowed. She was told to try and make some new friends and so she gravitated towards the king and his cheery and outgoing demeanor. They became somewhat of friends and Afya began to rely on him as her friend and leader. Doing everything he asked her to do no matter the outcome, she had become a loyal member to the king. This continued on with the same things everyday, no surprises, just how she liked it.

Adulthood and beyond
