The oldest child of Rainbow Dash. Rd and Ember's relationship didn't last long so they were both surprised when Smoke Ball was born. Due to her appearance it was decided that she would stay with RD instead of Ember as her appearance would make her a prime target amongst the dragons. Sure she might get bullied by the ponies but it was better than what the dragons would do with her. Smoke has no memories of her mother Ember and has never really met her, over the years neither has reached out to the other so they stay in a kind of uneasy stalemate. Smoke knows who she is but that's it. Her relationship with her other mother is not much better. RD always prioritised her work over her kids and missed many big events in their lives. While she may not mean to, she has damaged both of her kids in serious ways. Smoke believes herself to be unwanted and that love (any kind of love) is false. Her confidence is shot due to her own brother harassing her and making fun of her at any chance.
