Phosis
About
As a literal God, He has been around since before the first universe and is the one to have created the concept and function of light. He is as such in charge of maintaining and overseeing all forms of light in the universe, ensuring it is working as he wishes and sometimes having to take the time to fix light-based abnormalities.
He is also quite vain about His appearance and reputation and as such enjoys being worshipped, often taking the time to appreciate the many temples and monuments around the universe made as tribute for Him. He has a fondness for mortals and is quite friendly and sociable as far as Gods go, but still doesn't really understand the minds of mortals, meaning He can often be dismissive or outright clueless of their desires or input, not putting much effort into understanding them.
He is also sometimes known to disguise his status as a God, appearing as a mortal to enter social spaces. This is often done in locations of the universe where the Gods are less definitive knowledge, or if he is simply curious how things are without a God clearly in their presence.
Phosis has also created an entire galaxy for the sake of fueling His own powers. The intricate markings on His body actually serve as "windows" to this galaxy so He can draw from its immense light sources no matter where in the universe He is.

Dominion Over Light
As a literal God and the one who created light itself, Phosis commands complete control over all forms of light. He is able to change color, intensity, and direction of light, and can make it behave in various unnatural or uncommon ways such as forming hardlight, bending light, or even changing its speed or dissipating it from an area.
He is also able to manifest powerful beams or pillars of light with strong destructive capability if he feels so inclined.
Form Manipulation
Phosis also has complete control over his own physical form, allowing him to travel through the universe faster than the usual speed of light, shift his visual appearance, or alter his size upon will. He often does not change his appearance beyond his size, and is typically seen around a slightly-taller-than-average height for a mortal anthro fox.
Summary
Conception
Before existence, Phosis was one of the first gods to form His own awareness from the Endless Potential Cognizance, the infinite span of unformed concepts that came before anything. His earliest awareness involved fixation on the small pinpoints of light that He could manifest within this void, building Himself up to a point where he can create larger, more varied, more extravagant manifestations of this light.
Once a more established awareness, He would later collaborate with the other early Gods to form more of the Potential Cognizance into more concrete awarenesses, who would eventually go on to become more of the Gods. This early collaboration was partly coincidental and entirely unspoken, as there were no physical forms or structured methods of communication at the time.
The Branches
The Branches were the earliest form of constructed reality, as the proto-Gods would gradually drift away from one another out of a desire for more space to exert their growing capabilities in without accidentally crossing over with one another. This lead to them forming their own spaces known as Branches - similar to universes as we know them now, but on a more limited spatial scale, less strongly enforced boundaries, and almost every Branch being limited to only one fundamental concept in its existence.
The Branch of Phosis was a reality of pure light. In its early history it was a single contained bright light with growing intensity, but Phosis would eventually begin to play around with more potential alterations to the concept. He would add more colors of light, unique casting shapes, and eventually open up to the idea of dimmer lights to add to contrast.
Over a very gradual timescale, the Gods would learn more about the others' Branches, and begin to inspire one another. Phosis would be inspired by physical matter from other Branches to form the concept of hardlight and create grand, abstract structures with it. The Gods would also share methods of communication to speak directly to one another.
Phosis had also learned of Angels from other Branches - autonomous, conscious beings intentionally crafted by the other Gods from the Endless Potential Cognizance. He would create His own Angels of Light to populate His own Branch.
As the Angels from the various Branches would become increasingly curious over other Branches and traveling between them more often whenever permitted, the Gods would also see and interact with one another more often and learn of what they are up to. Phosis took particular interest in the behavior of Angels, and ended up being the first of the Gods to give Himself a physical body inspired by them.
This allowed Him to express himself with physical gestures and spoken language and walk among the Angels, and allowed Him to temporarily travel to and visit other Branches without inadvertently pulling too might Light with Him, as the Gods tended to look down upon one another "polluting" their Branches with too much of their own aspects. The other Gods were caught off-guard by seeing Phosis in a physical form. Some found the act to be degrading, while others found it to be a brilliant idea. Regardless, as times changed, every God would eventually follow His footsteps and create their own physical forms.
Eventually, various cross-interactions are found between the Gods' Branches as a side-effect of more travel between them, such as realizing over a long timescale of light from the Branch of Phosis briefly shining upon organic material in the Branch of Life can cause it to grow without direct contact from the God of Life, for example. These cross-interactions very much caught Phosis's attention, as He felt his aspect very often enhances or overpowers other aspects, making Him one of the earliest Gods to be interested in the idea of a collaborative reality.
