Ceres was the very first attempt at genetically engineering a beardog. Their name is an acronym, standing for Concentrated Energy Requiring Earth Systems. This is a very accurate description of how Ceres functions. They have a special organ that creates, stores, and recycles a soil substitute for plants to grow in. The plants that grow then share their energy with Ceres, keeping the beardog alive. Ceres themself is a rather reserved but pleasant individual to be around. They spent a long time living in the lab, so they're definitely not the bravest person out there. Sudden loud sounds or movements will send them running to hide. But they're otherwise gentle and friendly, leading their pack to care deeply for them.
