Enixion is endlessly curious — he would risk life and limb to discover a new culture or unravel the secrets of a dead one. He enjoys learning about pretty much anything; very few topics bore him, but his absolute favorites are history, mythology, planarology, and most importantly, astronomy. He has a serenity about him even when he's feverishly neck-deep in research, and is usually a calm and even-tempered person in normal circumstances.
He considers himself a student for life, always looking to learn and discover. He talks to himself often, and can get irritable when being rushed and tends to get snappy when being pressured. When in groups or crowds he tends to stick to the background, not speaking much until he finds something he knows about and enjoying simply observing people. Having been somewhat of a prodigy as a child, he has a certain degree of pridefulness that can lead to his ego being bruised easily when he's in the wrong or thoroughly outmatched somehow.
BACKSTORY
Enixion was born in the town of Scytheum in the northern area of Old Sykia to water genasi and human parents. They had a rather average upbringing, loving the outdoors and sleeping under the stars, even in poor weather. They would trek up to nearby Thousand-Spears and even sometimes into the rolling grey hills of the Drakewastes to see more constellations. They became fascinated with the intersection of astronomy and mythology — one of their other longtime loves.
Their parents were not highly educated themselves, but were made wealthy off the gem and mineral trade. They knew Enixion would need a more robust academic setting to engage them, so their parents sent them to be educated in Cormeum. After coming of age they decided to become an apprentice at the Crystavallis Observatoreum, the oldest and most prestigious astronomical institution in Sykia.
During their apprenticeship they became fixated on an artifact at the observatoreum: a planarsphere made of moonstone, onyx, and silver. Ever curious, they defied the no-touching-the-artifacts order and touched it, causing it to activate. The artifact had not been able to be woken up in centuries, so with this revelation (and after much debate) the other observators decided to allow Enixion to use it under strict supervision, since what little information known about it registered it as potentially dangerous. They would not allow Enixion to just wander off with it, so they sent them to the Champions of the Sky where they knew they would have the resources to help if things went awry.
They also charged Enixion with documenting the celestial bodies of any new lands the island passed over, since the visibility of the stars from the island would likely be very good.

Enixion is lithe and graceful in build with a strong romantic jawline and profile. His hair flows unnaturally easily, as if lightly suspended in water. He mixes his gender presentation as he sees fit, wearing masculine and feminine looks in equal amounts. He enjoys understated but well-thought out clothing, rarely wearing sparkling jewelry and only mildly accessorizing with metals.

- Enixion primarily serves a supporting role in combat but is flexible thanks to his planarsphere. He is most comfortable at long range firing stellar arrows and spells, or channeling the stars to boost his healing. He does not use traditional druidic Wild Shape, and actively discourages people who ask him to use it.

- CRYSTAVALLIS OBSERVATOREUM

An ancient site built by the crystal greatwyrm Azdoral many thousands of years ago. The scholars here are in charge of transcribing and analyzing updated star charts and astrological movements. The members of the observatoreum are considered keepers and preservers of celestial knowledge, and also serve the institution as record keepers and historians. The observatoreum scholars have created a Circle of Stars druidic order within their ranks in order to fully connect themselves with the astral bodies they study, making their star maps the most accurate (and valuable) in the empire.

A large town in the northwest region in the province of Old Sykia. It is the last city before entering a rather desolate region known as the Drakewastes; an area reduced to ashen greyness by ancient draconic and elemental battles. It's primarily a mining town and historical center, as well as home to a large archaeology guild. Northern Old Sykia is a place steeped in myths of the Everwar, almost as much as Cicatrix. Water genasi are somewhat common here due to the Battle of Lakebirth many thousands of years ago, but Enixion was born during the full moons, which is said to increase the likelihood of a child being born a shadow genasi.
