|History| Percy's human mother gave birth to him and was shocked that her child appeared to be some sort of hellspawn (especially since she had never remembered having sex with anybody). In an effort to make her child look more "normal", she burned away layers of his skin in efforts to lighten it, cut off his tail, and filed down his horns. As a deeply religious woman, the last thing she wanted was to be known as the mother of a demon. But despite her efforts, his horns and tails would always grow back, and his skin would evidently darken. Not able to take it anymore, his mother abandoned him in the woods, hoping the animals would "take care" of the young boy. A couple, both demons themselves, eventually stumbled across the child and took him in. They raised him as their own, and from there on Percy had a typically normal happy life. Though as he was growing up, terrible accidents would often happen. People who came in contact with him tended to suffer grave misfortune. Because of this Percy often tried to do his best to exercise good will towards the people he knew. Eventually Percy's family passed away and he was forced to find a job at the tender age of 18. He decided to pursue a career as a musician, practicing the violin and performing in small towns. Though a career as a musician can only prove so financially fruitful, so he abandoned that dream, settled down, finding work on a farm.
