About
The ringleader of Cirque Du Lune and a magical soldier who contracted with the Sin Gluttony, Ira is a mysterious and artistic soul who pours their entire soul into their circus.
Tasked with taking over the Circus after the original ringleader was jailed, Ira has brought the Circus to newfound glory and fame despite their young age with the use of their magical abilities. On top of running the Circus from behind the scenes, Ira acts as the ringleader during shows and performs as a trapeze artist on occassion. Although they never let on what is going on in their head at any given time and can in fact act quite off-putting, they've earned the respect of their Circus family from the sheer amount of work they put in to keep everything running smoothly.
Character
With a smile always on their face and a chivalrous, charming approach to other people, Ira seems like a one-dimensional but generally polite and happy person. The persona they inact is that they refuse to take anything seriously and even on occasion enjoy playing tricks on others -- nothing seems to surprise them or get them down in the dumps, and in fact they show no negative emotions at all. This often puts people off, but even that doesn't bother them; their unsettling smile remains no matter what. They take pride in putting on a show for people and they like to be the center of attention -- their actions and words are all very theatrical. Their ambition is never-ending; although they are often laid back and dislike being told what to do, their own wild ideals are something they're willing to work hard for and they have no problem taking a leadership role if need be. They will do what they have to do, no matter what.
In reality, Ira struggles to connect to others and form any attachments beyond that of cordial aquaintances. After years of abuse at the hands of the only person they ever let in, they believe that they are a monster incapable of showing and being shown love. They struggle to form bonds to others for this reason, fearful that they are manipulative monster who should not be allowed close to others. They keep others at arms-length, even the Circus performers that they consider their family; the only one they were close to was the original ringleader, and the loss of him seems to have affected them deeply.

Story
PAST
tw grooming, abuse
Ira was born to a mother who wanted nothing to do with them, and they were abandoned at a circus that was going through their small town in France when they were only six. Seeing that the child was unwanted where they were, the circus troupe would take Ira with them as they travelled around Europe, casually training them to do some of the circus performances but mostly just treating them as their collective child. The ringleader of the circus would be Ira's primary care-taker, but he was a sick and abusive man. He was very manipulative, and spent much of Ira's early life grooming them to rely on him and only him. He kept them distant from the other members of the circus and outside society, isolating them so that his word was the only one they knew or believed. He was grooming them to be like him, ruthless and willing to abuse whoever he needed to get what he wanted.
When Ira was 16, the circus came under criminal charges for drug smuggling, child kidnapping, and intentionally injuring their workers for more publicity. The ringleader and some of the more prominent workers were jailed. On the Ringleader's request, Ira took the leadership role in the circus, taking over as planner and ringleader in lieu of their father figure. It was through this responsibility that they discovered just how deep into the world of crime the Circus actually was. It became their responsibility to guard this secret, as well as carry on with the business that their father had started.
CONTRACT
The Sin Gluttony saw that Ira wanted more, both for themself and for the Circus. Gluttony offered Ira power to get what they wanted in exchange for fighting angels, and feeling immense pressure to keept the Circus from totally falling apart, Ira accepted the contract. They used their new magic to imbue the show with more spectacular feats than ever before, and to bring the circus newfound glory and success.
PRESENT
Ira lives a nomadic life with the rest of the Circus performers, going from city to city and performing, often staying in hotels and doing their angel hunting duties in between sleeping and putting on shows. They also handle the day-to-day needs of the Circus (with some help), so their schedule is pretty packed.
Relationships
Ezra Volkov
employee
Many folks in the Circus have tragic backstories of some kind that led them to live the hard life the Circus requires, and Ira knows that Ezra is no exception to this rule. Although they work together quite often, Ira knows very little about Ezra or where he came from; they both isolate themselves away from the other performers, meaning that they rarely have any contact outside of shows. Ira thinks that Ezra is pleasant enough, and as long as he keeps performing, they don't care what he does in his spare time.
