He was born in a barn with his mother, Lapwing, his older brother, Jay, and their eldest sister, Ani. He never really new his father, but from the stories Lapwing told him, he was a great cat. Though Ani would heavly dissagree. They traveled for 3 moons trying to find a place called the clans, so Lapwing knew her kits were safe.After they found the clans, tawny clan, bramble clan, and oak'clan. His mother, Lapwing, left them in Tawny clan so she knew they were safe and she could go back to the barn. Or so she said. Ani was angry and after a few days left. Hawk and Jay became Hawk'paw and Jay'paw. They were training for only a moon untill a great storm came. There was fire everywhere and the whole clan was flooded. Jay'paw and Hawk'paw run up a nearby cliff. Hawk'paw made it to the top very quickly. But from the wet rocks and his loose grip, caused him to fall off the other side of the cliff into a large, rapid river.The river carried him down to another clan called, bramble clan. A medicine cat apprentice called, Adder'paw, found him but with a very broken tail and a large scar on his face.
