Tehkis's life began when he was built as an Automaton in the country of Jistka which is now Rahadoum. While it has been a very long time since his creation, he remembers that time vaguely, as his memories have faded with time given how long its been. His physical body is starting to decay a little as well as he crackles and clicks as he walks, his joints are capable of swiveling fully as well though he does so less now that he is aged. Of all the things Tehkis remembers from his time as a human *before* becoming an Automaton, the thing most clear to him is the reason why he decided to volunteer for the program to become one in the first place. You see, Tehkis had a degenerative muscle disease that made him shake and lose control of his body with time. While doctors could not heal *his* body, he was offered another that being the chassis of an Automaton. The program creating these Automatons were getting desperate for volunteers, and Tehkis himself was desperate to move with freedom once more.

Since then, Tehkis came to work as a servant for a well-to-do household and for the past several hundered years. Given the nation of Rahadoums places importance on family loyalty, Tehkis has stuck to one family- the Madools, since before he can properlly recall exactly. In the meantime, he has worked as a servant, a cleaner, and a maid. His bodies physical muscle memory to such tasks even manages to surpass his own. His hands and arms can still recall motions of machines and tools that he hasnt used in years after they fell out of favor for other better tools. Records about Tehkis's existance can be found in some of the extremely old family records, and tell of things he cannot even remember. To him it feels rather strange to read about people who are long dead interacting with you in a way you cant recall, a flower you picked for them, a meal you made they liked, a joke you told that you dont find funny. His body seems to be designed based on an Asura- given the mutliple arms and their prevelance in Rahadoum, which can make his form seem a little intimidating, though the extra arms are rather helpful in his line of work.

Honestly, Tehkis's memory has become something that is troubling him most. He has feelings and sensations that he cannot places, familiarities, deja vu, and most troubling of all- he feels as though he's been waiting for a lady that he can recall is named Elysia... though nothing about her comes to mind no matter how much longer he thinks. Curious about her, Tehkis checked the family records, and only occasionally saw half mentions of her, though nothing substantial whatsoever. His currently family has no clue regarding her, though Tehkis did not expect them to, odds are Elysia has been dead for hundereds of years afterall. To some regard, Tehkis feels she must be avoiding him, as for some reason he cannot fully commit to the idea that Elysia is *dead*.

This is of course, until he finally meets Elysia once again. Tehkis had departed out into the market place as he normally did to gather ingrediants and spices that he would need for cooking in the coming days and weeks. On his way back thuogh, Tehkis got distracted by some strange shrine like building off the side of the road that was lying in the dip of a deep sand dune, and against all better judgment wandered off the road to see it. What struck him most odd what the pressence of something seemingly religious in a nation like Rahadoum, though when he approached it he was called out to by a woman. When he looked to the woman, she was like him- a being with multiple arms, and skin bright blue. They both seemed confused by the other pressence, and shared a moment where they stared at eachother, her eyes pierced him in a way he could not understand until a sudden wash of realization came over him. This was Elysia.

She seemed to have an understanding of who Tehkis was too at about the same time, and decided to invite him to join her somewhere to talk, that being in a cave hidden away from the main road. Inside the cave, Elysia spoke to Tehkis and took her much larger true form, that of a terrifying Asura Rana. As it turns out while Tehkis has been slaving away for a single family, Elysia has been reincarnating and gathering power. She seems displeased with Tehkis's lack of memories, and flicks the crystal on his forehead. In an instant his foggy memories become clear, and he realizes everything. It's a torrent of realizations, that come one after another each one changing the context for the past two thousand years he's been living.

For one, he too used to be an Asura, his Automaton chassis was built to model his own. The story of his disease was a falsehood, and during the decline of Jistka the desperate artificer began sealing fiends into Automatons to cut corners, meaing all the documents regarding his existance back then were forgeries, and that his memories has been purposly obscured and clouded so that they may not be accessed. He had been stold to the highest bidders as a servant, and all this time while he had been slaving away with this family for two thousand years, his memories has been getting farther and farther away from him and the truth of his bondage at their hands more cemented. The only thing he seemed to have retained was that Elysia was somehow waiting for him, perhaps to save him? To give him back his memories. He was shocked and enraged! Elysia seemed pleased by this developement, though she did not have much time; she suddenly kissed Tehkis before departing telling him, "Do as you'd like~", though this gesture was not just of affection. As an Asura Rana, her magicial capabilities are so great she was able to unlock the latent magic Tehkis once had before being sealed in this machine.

At first, in his enraged state, Tehkis wanted to return home and punish his family for enslaving him for years, however, as he calmed down and came to his senses he realized that his current family is so far removed from the ones who truly hurt him that the revenge would simply be meaningless. These people were so far removed from those who really hurt him that they as essentially innocent, even if they bear the same name. Instead, Tehkis ellects to simply never return to the estate, and departs seeking to find Elysia again as he has so much more to learn and catch up on. Since his kiss with Elysia, Tehkis starts to have violent nightmares and vile intrustive thoughts though he disregard them rather easily. Now homeless Tehkis finds himself getting taken in by a researcher named Gauthier who is merely interested in studing Tehkis's body, as Automaton like him are a rarity now adays. It's a bit demeaning but the bed and board is free so Tehkis has little room to complain. The two have a rocky start, but eventually they both break the ice and manage to become friends after a couple of months bumping elbows and struggling to communicate with one another. Tehkis eventually decides it may be best to outright tell him about it, the truth of his life, the memories, and Elysia. Gauthier is rather dumbfounded, as one should be, regarding Tehkis's predicament, but cannot help but be curious about Elysia too. In return for Tehkis entrusting him with a secret, Gauthier reveales that his eyepatch covered eye is a scar from his past as dust falls out from it when he removes the eyepatch. Gauthier promises Tehkis he will keep his secret safe with him, and likewise hopes the same of Tehkis regarding his eye. In the meanwhile the two prepared to depart on a journey to find Elysia.
