How Are Plushee Puffs Made?

Plushee Puffs are sentient beings that were once a toy, or object of some kind. They come into being when a spirit chooses to posses an item of great importance to a person of any age. Usually a spirit will only possess an object that belongs to someone who is in great need; someone who is lonely, or needs to be protected from something. At times, a more malicious spirit will possess the object belonging to a more malicious person, or meek spirits will try to bond with someone quiet and shy just to find a friend for themselves as well. There are times when a spirit will possess an object of someone who will not bond with them, often leading to Puffs being abandoned. The spirits that form Plushee Puffs are more likely to possess a toy, or stuffed animal, and to bond with children, that way they are more likely to be loved and kept safe themselves, however, they can possess any type of object.

How Does a Plushee Puff Decide on its Form?

When a spirit chooses to possess an object and become a Plushee Puff, they take lots of things into consideration to choose their form, though, there are instances where a Puff Spirit will just take whatever form is simply created once they bond with an object. Most Puff Spirits choose their form carefully, picking the things they like, or picking the things that will best suit the person they are trying to bond with, hoping that will make their chances of being 'kept' higher. One thing that is oddly consistent through all Puffs is the fact that every spirit ends up taking on some kind of animal characteristics. This usually aligns with the object they are possessing, especially those who possess stuffed animals, but the animal traits that a Puff Spirit takes on can be anything, real, hybrid, mammal, reptile... just anything. There seems to be no set rule as to how and why these animal traits are chosen and formed, they just simply are. Perhaps it makes the Puff Spirit more endearing to the owner of the object they possess? More lovable, or more frightening when needed? Its hard to say, but the fact remains, every Puff Spirit will have animal traits.

Birth
PlusheePuffs are not born but created by their god and goddess. They are normally brought up to live with a child who is missing something in their life, whether its an emotion or a person. They come from the child's favorite toy with the help of the god or goddess that way the child can love them and be comfortable with how the Plushee. Plushees can revert back to their toy form if they are overly distressed or their owner dies. They can be reborn to a new owner or given to a new owner however they will still have the memories of their previous owner. They are created with the ability to speak, walk and care for their owner but grow at the same rate as their owner or how the owner sees fit.

Appearance
Each Plushee has ears that are stitched, laced, or both. They have a tail also known as the rattle. The tail has a mind of its own and also acts as helper for the plushee to care for the owner. The tail does eat and speak like the plushee. If the rattle is cut off the plushee will die and revert back to its original toy form not able to come alive again. Both the plushee and the rattle have containers attached to their ears. These represent something that the owner loved either now or as a child. The substance does not change as the owner gets older or doesn’t like it as much.Their bodies are like a human in appearance however they can occasionally have animal like feet or paw pads on their hands.

Reproduction
Plushees can not birth a child without the help of their God and Goddess. They do have the parts to have sex but no reproductive organs unless they are blessed. The child will be a crossbreed of the plushee and their mate. However there is not much known about crossbreeds and they are very very rare to find and not easily obtained.

Abandoned Plushee
These plushees are evil. They do not want a master and want to be free to live on their own. They will do anything to be free from their masters and once they are free they cause havoc wherever they go. They are not someone that you want to run into unless you enjoy being tortured and bullied. Abandoned plushees have a sort of blackened container and generally have rotten items in their containers.

Habitat
Plushees are an open world species. They can be in any type of habitat or time era. They can adjust to the environment that their owner lives in once created.

Behavior
Plushees are created to serve their owners but do have their own feelings, thoughts, and actions. However they will adjust their lifestyle to suit their owners and tend to them before themselves. Plushees do have a small amount of magic to help their owners but nothing more than things like minor healing of scrapes and bruises. They can  sense when their owner needs them or their emotions. They do sleep and eat like their owners and can be picky eaters but these actions only mimic their owners. They do not need to eat nor sleep but do it for appearance that they are real to their owners.

Mutations
Plushees can have mutations but its a rare thing. These mutations are something that they are given by their God and Goddess but something they get from their owner. As an owner grows older and their lives change the plushee follows. However sometimes the changes for the plushee don’t go as smoothly as hoped and they get a mutation. The mutations are not bad and its just a trigger in their DNA that becomes active as they have grown. Mutations are somewhat rare and plushees can only ever have one.
