☼ Allio used to be a cheerful and reckless person, always up for action and fight. however, time made her more still, wary, and tough, with tiredness settled in her bones and little to no smiles plastered on her face. she seems apathetic and impassive these days, detached even, as she wears a blank face and smokes at three in the morning wishing for things being different. she clings to the past as to a lifeline, though that was the only time she considered herself happy.

☼ she tries to live in the civil world and have a proper job while all she knew from childhood was violence and fighting. so when amber appears right up from her past life and offers another battle to fight, she just accepts and goes with the flow.

☼ it got only worse.

The story went like this

☼ born as a daughter of the local gang leader Allio had only choice to become its member. she was rather content with her life until her brother nick became the new leader. the gang quickly began to fall apart under his command therefore al decided to leave before it was too late. her peaceful talk with nick resulted in a fight which left both of them with severe injuries. amber — Allio’s close friend and romantic interest — helped her to escape.

☼ grateful for the help, al still felt guilty for involving amber in this mess as nick opened a hunt for Allio’s head, hence she left amber in the hope to get the scent off of her. but when everything settled down and she came back for her, amber already got a fresh start under the king’s protection and claimed Allio as a traitor. heartbroken, she moved to another city and tried to live a normal life she always dreamed of yet it felt hollow and lonely to her. so when several years later Allio got a letter from amber she was rather shocked. she agreed to meet up with her but little did she know how much amber changed over time and what her true intentions were.

☼ spoiler: they overthrew the government.

☼ the thing is — you can’t build a country if your views are radically different and your leader is the love of your life. amber couldn’t let these minor inconveniences interfere with her ambitions, so usually it takes some manipulations and psychological pressure to come to an agreement.

Design notes

☼ scars on her chest are left from the time Allio covered amber with herself in a fight

☼ though the abdomen scar and broken horn were given by her brother Nick when she tried to leave the gang

☼ every time i want to make the atmosphere a bit darker and heavier i draw her yellow eyes and bangs over the nose bridge

☼ at one point in the story she sometimes sees Amber's eyes as alligator ones
