Index is calm and composed, preferring to think and analyze before acting.
Index and Avarice were childhood friends, and they cared about Avarice deeply and very much did not like many of the decisions she tended to make. The two had a loveless relationship for a while until Index felt it was off somehow and broke it off. This lead to the two of them falling out.
Index spent time alone and eventually met Chic. She was the opposite of him, loud and impulsive, but still was incredibly intelligent. In many ways she was similar to Avarice, just more loud. The two talked and eventually got into a romantic relationship. However, like the one with Avarice, it also felt off somehow and to the two of them and mutually broke it off. Unlike with their relationship with Avarice, Index found themselves really missing Chic. They didn’t like her romantically, but didn’t know what exactly to define it as.
Eventually they learned what a qpq relationship was and talked to Chic about it. The two deciding to try it out and it felt right. It wasn’t romantic but it was still special and felt right. Eventually the two decided to coparent a child together, Spice. It was due to their family that they turned down the chance to be a royal advisor, staying as a member of the council.
They also reunited with Avarice, though he’s awkward around her, she’s very happy to be with them again, and was disappointed when they turned down the chance to be an advisor along with her. They’re rather awkward around her, but as duty calls they work with her without complaints.
After a while, Index was given a different opportunity to be the royal overseer for the Eyes of Themis, as the previous one was retiring. As Spice was older, and Chic was okay with it, they became the royal overseer of the Eyes of Themis.
They discovered Murmur while on a mission, and did everything within their power to get it to safety, injuring themselves in the process. They are recovering and don’t at all regret it, and are happy to see that Murmur gets along with Chic and Spice well. It’s basically apart of the family now.
