NAME:

Gabriel (Gabi) - he/him

ABOUT:

Alongside his partner, he has been tasked by the Academy to protect the last group of children that possess blessings through the upcoming war. Blessings, which are abilities to control environments or elements, are powers that a select number of humans can be born with, Gabi included. 

His blessing revolves around plants, flowers, and vines, able to both create and connect with any flora around him. This makes him a prime protector of the Sanctuary, creative impenetrable vines around the property, and able to monitor what happens outside of it at all times. There he cares for the kids and makes sure their needs are met while he and his Academy partner wait for instructions from the outside. No word from the war, positive or negative, has made its way to the Sanctuary in over three years. 

PERSONALITY

Gabi acts like a very positive, friendly, and easy-going person around the children in his care, often the perfect big-brother image. When around his partner (and another caretaker within the Sanctuary), he can be snarky, hot-headed and pretty un-friendly. Still, he and his partner have been together for a very long time, and Gabi is loyal to protect him against anything that may come their way. 

BLESSING

Being able to control flora is quite a useful skill to have within the Sanctuary. As mentioned, he makes sure to block entrance to the Sanctuary by using vines and a thick forest, but his abilities range further from just defensive. He manages resources such as fruit trees and all types of crops to feed the children and the Sanctuary's farm animals, and is constantly making sure the plants work as intended. His energy is usually connected to the plants he manages, too, so he'll feel most energetic in the summer and most lethargic in winter. When he is mad or upset, plants might change color (like the maple trees that surround the Sanctuary's gardens).

He was trained by the Academy as a warrior alongside Lucie, and their dynamic works within a pair. While Lucie, with a blessing that relates to lighting, uses an offensive approach, Gabi uses a defensive one. He is faster and better at strategy, so he is usually the brain of their team. He can fight on his own, but he is considerably weaker than Lucie, so he will always be the strongest when fighting alongside his partner. Same goes for Lucie, of course.
