Tenebris

An eccentric and joyful dark essence. In fact, before Void's takeover he was both the most powerful dark essence and a strange leader. Strange, as in he got incredibly attached to all of the others, gave them nicknames, and basically acted as their fun adoptive dad or whatever.

Records don't say why, but Tenebris was forced by the leader of the light essences (I don't have a name for them yet whoops) to live as a cursed being. His mind has been tempered by his lack of control of the magic and energy that makes up his being, causing him to be in kind of a feral state. He clings to the travelers chosen by the fire and light essence, Mesmifern, who eventually succumb to their struggles and with Tenebris's help, burn the world they're in to the ground This caused the number of fire essence travelers to greatly plummet, but Mesmifern stubbornly keeps on choosing traveler after traveler, desperately hoping one will lift the Tenebris's curse, not for their sakes, but for her own.
