Skipper is a lanky SilkWing who lives in Possibility. She works with her father selling traditional Pantalian candies and loves to purse the art of food herself. She loves to swim in the nearby river and read about the history of Pyrrhia. She also has a true interest in plants, as there weren't many of them in Pantala. She loves to explore the world for herself, since she wasn't able to when she worked in the Hives.

General

Skipper is quiet and mournful, often thinking of her late mother. She tends to dwell on things longer than she should and is easily annoyed. However, she enjoys her new-found freedom with her father. After the defeat of Queen Wasp and her sisters, Skipper felt relieved that all was over, but could not forgive the HiveWings that enabled the oppression of the SilkWings. She wanted to go back to Pantala to keep living in the Hives, but her father insisted that it wouldn't do them any good to constantly be reminded of their past, so they decided to stay in Pyrrhia and begin living in Possiblity instead.

In general, Skipper enjoys her life when she's not thinking about her childhood. She found the study of art and food fasinating, and she plans to continue making candies as she enjoys it greatly. She helps her father with housework and the two of them find work by making and selling traditional SilkWing (and occasionally HiveWing) candies in Possibility. Skipper spends a lot of her time relaxing, especially with her girlfriend Bivalvia. Sometimes, when Skipper starts missing the Hives, she'll take day trips to the coast of the Sand Kingdom (nearby to Jerboa's hut) and stare across the Ocean, waiting to see if any silhouettes blot the horizon. This form of solitary relaxation has helped Skipper to move on and start living a happier life in Possiblity.

Life in the Hives

Skipper is a SilkWing that lived in Tsetse Hive with her parents until the overthrow of Queen Wasp and the forming of the LeafSilk Kingdom. Her family lived and worked for a middle-class HiveWing family as luxury cooks and masters of art involving food. Skipper learned how to cook from her mother and father and took a liking to it, especially when she was taught how to make candy. Skipper likes making candies and sweets because she feels that it brings some joy into an otherwise bitter world. Skipper's parents were part of the Tsetse Hive Chrysalis without her knowledge, and due to this, she lost her mother in the fight against the mind-controlled HiveWings. When the Pantalian dragons traveled to Pyrrhia, she and her father decided to start a new life in the town Possibility, away from their old lives as servants and the neverending battlefield that plagues Pantala.

• Despite being named "Skipper," Skipper is actually based off a Mourning Cloak Butterfly. Even though her misnaming used to be a source of confusion for her, she has grown to love her name.
• Skipper is very tall and lanky. She tends to not be very mindful of her wings and tail, so she bumps into things a lot. She's insecure about her height due to this, and will often keep her wings tightly folded and her tail curled close to her body.
• When Pantalian dragons went to Pyrrhia, she became fasinated with SeaWings. She wishes she was a SeaWing as she loves to swim and wishes she could breathe underwater. Her girlfriend, Bivalvia (who is a SeaWing), loves to swim with her and is the one who taught her how.
• She grieves very slowly, and is overall a very somber dragon. She tends to live in the past longer than she should. She is very sentimental and extremely attatched to the things she finds familiar. She doesn't like change.
• When she and her father first moved to Possibility, she was originally very reluctant to even leave their new house. She fell into a depressive state until she met Bivalvia, who helped show her around.
• Skipper has a yellow scarf and a set of earrings designed to make her look more like her namesake of a Skipper butterfly. She used to dislike wearing them, but has grown to love it as a form of self expression.
