Drusuj

One of Brutus's relatives (second cousin). Their family visited fairly often with the Carlie-family while growing up, they live maybe an hour or so away from the Carlie-residence.

Start-of-story, Drusuj still lives in Raarkajkr, and works as a guide/transport thru the region. Raarkajkr is a particularly dangerous region for those not used to its wildlife and keyaa-anomaly, (and often still to experienced locals, its always helpful to have an extra set of eyes. + they can rest easier and conserve energy in fragile form while riding on Drusuj's saddle). Most beasts find Drusuj unsettling due to their condition and steer clear of them, which can be useful (even if it saddens Drusuj). Drusuj also has a sixth sense for impending keyaa-anomaly at times. Drusuj also helps out at the local Mothi house and sometimes transports mail/packages as well.

• Calm and easy-going, but a morbid sense of humour. Not easily phased/shocked by things. Dense/doesn't pick up on stuff oftentimes. Means well but is forgetful, if they don't write it down that shit's getting forgeted. Can be bribed by trinkets and beauty products and art supplies. Doesn't seem like it but is extroverted, likes to be around others often, even if it's just chilling in silence.

• Had had accident (still deciding the details lol) when they were around 16. This accident mutilated/destroyed their chest cavity (including some of their organs/bones. Drusuj was very near death (and maybe even slipped into death for a bit) but was able to be saved by combining their body with plant growths powered by a crystal keyaa source. The plant growths + metal-ribcage to encase them, replaced/combined with damaged organs and keeps Drusuj alive. Drusuj still ages normally. 
• This keyaa crystal source must be charged/changed out regularly and is stored within the diamond-shaped structure on their chest (plants photosynthesis can partially charge crystal). The growths must also be maintained/checked-up by a growth magician sometimes, Drusuj is not growth ordered and so cannot do this themself, tho they can manage the crystal charging/changing with minimal assistance. Drusuj's plants r still susceptible to plant-illnesses, fungus, infestation, mutation, whagever.
• The plants work with the crystal keyaa to keep everything working, but during winter/darker months, Drusuj gets exceedingly lethargic, and will eventually go into a sort of "hibernation" for usually 1-2 months. Drusuj cant control when they slip into hibernation and is pretty helpless during this time. They have often stayed with the Carlie family during hibernation periods. 
• If Drusuj forgets/isn't able to change out his crystal in time, he will start spontaneously fainting / having limb spasms. If this goes on long enough, they will go into a coma until someone else changes out the crystal. If the crystal doesn't get changed for idk maybe 2 weeks, they die for real/cannot be brought back past this point.

• the birds: make these mothi r smth? or some other pippaf beast? maybe drawn to them for some reason? or just their pets lol.
• worshipper of okkjuk (the bells). maybe hangs chimes off them too?
• legs and horns almost entirely keyaa-scarred, but not noticeable at first bc only shimmers in gold when light hits them, and they were originally black furred anyways.
• Has a dad (Ondorus) and fraternal twin brother (Torril). Elder sister + mom died in keyaa-anomaly incidents (the same one that caused their condition?)
• (tent) after accident, dad+brother were kinda freaked out by how Drusuj had changed (perhaps their personality changed a bit too?), saw him as half-alive, not entirey creature anymore, just weird and unsettling etc. Anyways didnt know how to handle him and kinda didnt want to, Carlie picked up on this during a visit/convo or smth and invited Drusuj to stay at her place for a bit. Brutus and the other kids helped Drusuj thru the transition of learning how to live with all the new strange things abt their body, particularly Brutus, who had always been fond of Drusuj even bfr the accident. Brutus was always quick to defend Drusuj against creatures who gave them grief.
