For as long as they can remember, demon sisters Chinatsu and Miyuki have watched over the ancient shrine in which they reside, serving as its sole guardians and caretakers. With their combined power, they've protected it from all sorts of dangers over the years, including the occasional monster attack and natural disaster, as well as the much more common greedy human looking to get their grubby mitts on the mysterious treasure that lies deep within. They take their role as guardians (mostly) seriously and are generally wary of any outsiders that happen to find their shrine, but will welcome genuinely curious visitors—and wealthy donors—with open arms.

Chinatsu is the older of the two and served as both a role model and a protector for Miyuki since they were children, teaching her the many secrets of the shrine and how to master her abilities. The two share an unbreakable bond and would go to any lengths necessary to keep each other safe and happy. Despite their dignified and slightly imposing demeanors, they love to kick back and have fun every now and then, especially with any prey they catch in their metaphorical web.
