Story
Background
Vanilla bean was ten years old when his parents drowned on a cruise ship while he was on a trip with his friends. His aunt and uncle took temporary custody of him, he didn't previously know them too well but was closer with his nine year old cousin, Shula. He was traumatized and refused to talk to his aunt and uncle, instead whispering things into his cousin's ear.
After a few months had gone by, Shula's parents brought them on a trip to Baguette Town. The two adults were very mentally ill and made the irrational decision to leave him and Shula in Baguette Town and take the train home, unbeknownst to the children. Scared would be an underexaggerating for how they both felt. The town was small, and they quickly found solace in the warmth of the community. Many of the adults support them financially so they have the opportunity to safely live together with any support necessities they may need.
