Adventurers travel all over for their line of work. CǎiMíng's father was one such adventurer, who traveled far and wide until he had his heart stolen by a beautiful Catfolk. Knowing her family would disapprove, they did the unthinkable and eloped, all the way back to the adventurer's home village. And they were happy for a long while, being blessed with a single daughter, CǎiMíng. Her parents taught her everything she knows, from her mother's small magics to her father's mastery of the spear.

However, five years ago, there was an adventure from which her father never returned.

Grieving, the two remaining family members relied on the support of their community, both taking jobs as servers at their local tavern. And things slowly became better.

Until CǎiMíng's mother fell ill. It seemed like nothing at first, just a slight weakness in the legs. But it slowly progressed until it became unclear how much longer she could keep walking.

CǎiMíng knew what to do- there was a powerful spell, great magics that would heal her mother.

Unfortunately, such magics cost money, far more than two waitressing salaries would provide.

So when CǎiMíng heard some adventurers at the local tavern discussing how they needed extra muscle for a job, she happily joined, taking her father's spear and praying for a big score.
