Profile

Sirroco and Aquilone of Altostratus, parents of Zephyr of Altostratus
This family of Air Genasi nobles, owning lands around the city of Droume, had good relations with the local aristocratic families.

Well, before the arrival of the Karnstein family at least. Freshly arrived in town, they were keen to make a good impression in front of the other nobles but above all to attract the favors of the members of the families of the council of 5 .
Mr and Mrs Karnstein and their only son Micallar seemed similar to the Altostratus family on the surface. Looking good in public, however, they had no mercy when it came to ridiculing and trampling on their competition to rise ever higher in the social hierarchy.
By dint of advancing in this way and infiltrating the highest spheres, the meeting with the family of Altostratus was inevitable. What began as a good-natured rivalry gave way to a cold but ruthless feud.
Tired of rumors and attempts to smear the name of his family, Zéphyr decided to get involved. On a whim, he went alone to investigate this mysterious family in order to find their weak point and finally bring them down.

This decision would seal the fate of his family.

He infiltrated the Karnstein mansion in an effort to find anything compromising about them. He unfortunately fell on Micallar who threatened to call the guard and the two young heirs argued, they even came to blows, both fighting in the mansion. Face to face on the main balcony of the residence, the rain pouring as their fight raged. The guards were alerted and arrived at the foot of the balcony, observing the scene. Zephyr did not know exactly what happened but during their confrontation Micallar was knocked over the balcony and fell several floors.

In the eyes of all, Zéphyr had just murdered the heir of the Karnstein family.

Now considered a family of murderers, the d'Altostratus were stripped of their nobility and considered outcasts. Zephyr served a shortened prison sentence thanks to his parents' fortune, but the damage was done. He now had a whole life to rebuild. Now fallen, he spent his time wandering in the neighboring taverns, drowning his worries in alcohol, unfortunately he could not stay long in an establishment because as soon as he was recognized he was thrown out. One drunken night, having been thrown out of a tavern for the umpteenth time, he staggered along the path, wandering aimlessly. At the bend in a street, he first thought it was a trick of his mind but no, he had just seen Micallar running down an alley. Wasting no time, he started in pursuit, finally managing to catch him between two dark alleys, he tore off his hood and found himself face to face with the one he was accused of murdering. This bastard had survived and had been careful not to reveal it, guaranteeing the condemnation of Zephyr. He did try to threaten him with revealing the whole truth, but who would believe him? With his reputation he had no chance of getting justice. Micallar had won. He extricated himself from Zephyr's embrace with violence, laughing at his victory and went back to hiding in the shadows.
Lost and disoriented, he tried to find his way home. He found himself lost in the mist, he tried to find his way back but no matter which direction he took he always seemed to fall back on the same place, a clearing between the trees containing a strange circle of dolmen in a sea of mist. These stones standing in a circle had strange inscriptions that he could not understand. One symbol however came up very often, a triangle with a spiral within it. Was this place real or was it just an illusion? Impossible to say. He had the feeling of being watched from all sides, as if figures were walking in the mist, without making any sound. He entered the circle and, cornered by his worries, he fell to his knees, imploring heavens to help him.
And it answered him. Leira, goddess of illusions, Lady of the mist, appeared in the fog.

"Appearances are deceiving, reality is not always what you think.." Having been deceived, it is his turn to cheat people, Leira made him her cleric and gave him the means to revenge. This time, he will have to be cunning to achieve his ends. She offered him a new life, a new identity. And to symbolize this, a mask to hide his true intentions. Now Elyon, he abandoned his old life and vowed to make the Karnsteins and Micallar pay. After all, murdering a man who is already dead is not a crime, is it?

He had certainly changed his identity, but he now had a name to make, a network to create. This time he would not rush into the action without thinking, his revenge will be calculated and unpredictable. He approached a circus troupe and became an artist alongside them. He took the role of a jester, telling jokes and nonsensical stories to play to the gallery. Hidden behind his mask, he felt able to tell any and everything.
In this kind of environment, no one asks you where you come from and that's good. Thanks to them he was able to meet a whole cast of useful people, from the street thief to the petty spy capable of extracting any information. It was among them that he met Hazel, an eladrin who had also joined the circus in order to change his life. Since he had known him, he had always seen him in autumnal form. Both arriving in the troop at the same time and thus being considered as the new kids, they became friends while they discovered the mechanics of the circus together. Hazel was his confidant and his moral support, thanks to him he felt less alone. He was also the only person to whom he revealed his face. He didn't know if Hazel recognized him, but if he did, he didn't mention anything. He felt so good by his side that he almost forgot his primary goal.
It was while returning to his hometown that all of this came back to him.
He had learned a lot with his troop but unfortunately he felt that they had nothing more to bring him. It was while walking around town that he first heard of the Relic Hunters Guild, they already seemed to enjoy a certain reputation that could be very useful to him.
He sadly bade farewell to Hazel, he must not lose sight of his goal. They promised to meet again one day. Leaving one troop for another, he joined the relic hunters, hoping to gain reputation, accomplices or information, anything that could bring him closer to his revenge
