NAME:

Mimic ("Mimmy")

PRONOUNS:

Any, but primarily It/Its

AGE:

Adult

PERSONALITY:

Quiet but not shy, it hardly speaks; when it does, it uses short, simple language. It tends to avoid directly interacting with others, but will silently trail along if it finds what others do interesting. Likely to elope when fed up, it tends to come and go without announcing itself, sometimes seeming to appear out of nowhere. Sometimes it acts directly out of spite; if it hears someone wants something, it may go out and attempt to get it first without telling anyone. Despite not speaking, its body language is very expressive, sometimes displaying its feelings through the often-shifting colors present on its body (that is, when it's not camouflaged, at least). Generally, though, it doesn't bother others, and prefers not to be bothered itself.

BACKSTORY:

It isn't anything special, in the grand scheme of things, it fades into a crowd and it likes it that way. It has no friends or close family. It would be perfectly happy if everyone in the colony forgot it was ever there, so it could use the resources present without the threat of interacting with others.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Freakishly long and lanky, by default it's a brownish-grey with off-white stripes and tan speckling, similar to a mimic octopus. Its eyes are a pinkish-maroon with expressive, off-white pupils, which do not change color.

POWERS:

Similar to an octopus, Mimmy can change the color and texture of its body to camouflage. This usually entails blending in with its environment to hide, or travel without being noticed, or making itself look larger or poisonous to ward off threats. Sometimes, it uses these to imitate others, be it Slugcats or other fauna in the area.

TRIVIA:

It does not know or care about the future, nor the consequences of its present actions. It will claim to reflect on its past behavior, but doesn't really consider that to affect how it is now, its sense of self shifting just as much as its physical appearance.
