Blue-Blood is wholeheartedly a villian, each of her actions is done for her advancement and hers’ alone. Although many of her actions can be seen as good, as she’ll help others, but that’s all in the pursuit to obtain their undying loyalty. In her mind, with the loyalty of, to her, are worthless gems, gives them worth. Gems coming together under her gives the purpose and cause, her cause. She seeks endless power with no visible ending to it. However, that was before her harvesting, after such she has noticeability taken a turn as observed by the gems that know where she is. Blue-Blood these days is distant, dejected and it’s almost like she’s given up on.. everything.
About
A vein of Zircons from the beginnings of Era 1, filled with rainbow hues, one of these Zircons being that of a Teal hue. All created without an ounce of empathy running through their blood, causing corrupt morals, uncaring souls and heartless villains. The teal Zircon in specific saw no value in gem life and so decided to use it to gain what she wanted. Since day one she’s been as power hungry as they can be. Her path into rebellion was set as she fled the Empire within just a few years of living, ready to carve her way on her own.
So Called Empty Promises Fulfilled
Blue-Blood, as she'd come to be known, had a unique way of rebellion. While she was in fact a rebel, she really didn’t let anyone know she was. She kept to both the Empire’s rank and rebellion, but kept her distance from her creator’s court. While she climbed the ranks of the Empire, she in turn was massing a group of loyal rebel followers using promises. She paraded herself around as the answer to hopeless gems’ problems. A loss of a loved one? She could unshatter them. Swear revenge on your former superior but have no hope of slaying them? She’ll carve you a path to slay them with no worries. And in fact, she did fulfill these promises, many gems would come to her with wishes and have them answered, thus their loyalty sealed.
Rise & Fall
In her prime she was known as “The Blue-Blooded Lawyer”, stemming from noble formation to the loyalist and being the blood that ran through the veins of answers to rebels. She was everything to those around her, eventually she joined a council of gems in the Empire that was filled with many high ranking gems. Sadly, it was upon this council that she’d meet her end, metaphorically. A group of lower ranking gems had run past the council and the council’s leaders brought the low ranks before their judgment. Blue-Blood was seated on the council when this judgment was being passed, but in the end her snark upset the low ranks and combat broke out. It was the perfect moment for the Court of Stars (a faction of judges and lawyers that Blue-Blood had greatly upset in her deals) to strike. After the low ranking gems poofed Blue-Blood, a Kyanite who had been pretending to be Blue-Blood’s pearl revealed herself, whisking her gemstone away.
Modern Day
It was in her capture that Blue-Blood was sentenced without trial, to experimentation and harvesting. First sent off to an Olivine’s lab, a gem in which she has a great fear of. She was the test subject for a corruption cure that went wrong, corrupting her instead, cracking her mental state further than her lack of empathy already has. Then she was placed into a wall outside the office of the head of the Court of Stars. There she rests, a fancy ornament in a wall, nothing more, nothing less. However in recent times it has been reported that after a rebel raid her gemstone was missing. Today, Blue-Blood is considered missing, her rebel followers worry for her return, curious of where she is, trying to find her. And the Court of Stars? They are wary, wanting Blue-Blood back in their grasp. For now, she remains missing.
Trivia
- Her birthdate would technically be on May 2nd.
- Her nickname isn’t actually Blue-Blood, that comes from her title of “The Blue-Blooded Lawyer”, her actual nickname is unknown by everyone but her and a select few.
- The white dots around her eye are a mark of her vein, each one representing one of the Zircons and when one perishes, a dot vanishes. Blue-Blood’s are placed under her left eye, a mirror to Sunshine’s.
- Like her veinmates, her Kyanite gifted her a number of pearls and guards. Blue-Blood only has 3 pearls (Aqua Foam, Blue Lagoon and Pale Turquoise) and 2 Teal Quartzes (5XA & 5XB).
- Her room in the Prismatic Palace has gone unused since Era 1, she’s never decorated it so it’s an empty husk that her pearls and quartzes lumber around it, waiting for her.
- The ribbon in her hair is actually an Aquamarine’s wand she had custom made for her.
- Her vein’s ability to make bubbles translate into Blue-Blood being able to create massive bubbles that can incase her foes and allies, either protecting them from threats or keeping the threat itself at bay.
- She hates touching things without knowing where they have been first, hence why she is always wearing gloves, it isn’t just a fashion choice.
- Even with her lack of empathy, Blue-Blood has felt love before, she thought it impossible, but there was one gem to touch her heart. They are long gone so it doesn’t matter now.
- She has a deep fear of Olivines, even before her experimentation, this fear was actually the reason as to why she was sent off to be a subject to begin with.
Related
Midnight Kyanite [Creator/Enemy]
Despite being her creator (by proxy at least), Blue-Blood hates Midnight with a burning passion. The gem that was meant to protect her took a back seat to everything. Not keeping the Court of Stars aways, not stopping her horrible fate and even just creating her in the first place the way she is. Blue-Blood wants to care, she wants to feel, deep, deep down she hates it all. She blames Midnight for everything she is and everything that has happened in her life.
Turquoise Swan Kyanite [Proprietor]
Her so-called proprietor who is supposed to be Blue-Blood’s connection to Midnight Kyanite to help get Blue-Blood Whatever she needs. This Kyanite failed so badly at that duty that Blue-Blood is shocked MIdnight hasn’t done away with her yet. She could care less about this Kyanite and ignored them when she was around and will continue to ignore them if she ever sees/meets them again.
Opulent [Veinmate]
The red shatterer, at least that’s what Blue-Blood knows her as. She’s never been close to her with her veinmates, but she knows that Opulent shattered the yellow one of the vein. As much as Blue-Blood wants to care, she doesn’t, Opulent is just another gem to her.
Paradigm [Veinmate]
The one who would never decide what to do, from a distance even Blue-Blood knew that Paradigm didn’t know what he was doing with his life. She almost pitied them, but decided she didn’t care.
Axis [Deceased Veinmate]
The echo of a sister she never knew, Axis could have been a great influence on Blue-Blood and for the short time that both were around, she was. Blue-Blood cherished her bond with Axis, but in the end, Axis’ death meant nothing to her, she couldn’t care even if she tried.
Halcyon [Veinmate/Closest Ally]
The useful one, Halcyon has always been the mysterious one in the vein next to Blue-Blood and that’s maybe why the two got along so well. Halcyon supported Blue-Blood from the shadows, sent gems her way and in turn Blue-Blood returned their gifts with more gifts. A mutual allyship, but also the closest bond between siblings in the vein.
Relic [Veinmate]
The lonesome, is she supposed to care about them? Relic is a pitiful excuse of a gem, at least that’s what she used to think. Today, after her freedom, she’s reflected and realized the pain Relic suffered, alone for so long, the corruption, the stress, all of it. She wants to talk to her, to sit down and share her pain, and finally have someone understand.
Acrid [Veinmate]
The little defect, Acrid ran around the rebel scene since day one much like Blue-Blood but for what? He was copying her and look at what happened to him. Acrid in Blue-Blood’s mine will always be nothing but a sad copycat, she was his role model for everything? PSSH, it makes her laugh even today.
Sunshine [Veinmate]
The dejected assistant, when Blue-Blood knew Sunshine, they lived up to their name. Happy-go-lucky, joyful, everything and anything whimsical. These days, she’s heard that Sunshine is nothing but a shell of what they once were. She doesn’t, nor can she care.
