Sunshine is the second eldest child of Lumera's however, he was the first child she adopted. The eldest child being Silverwind Lightstar, whom Lumera adopted a few years after him. Sunshine is a more serious child as opposed to the happy go lucky attitudes of his future siblings Nitrius and Angelo. He knows the war for what it really is and knows that it is something to constantly be thinking about and something that is nothing but serious. Having lost both his mother and father to Shadow Dragons Sunshine grew up with a more realistic attitude and a less carefree idea of what life is. He has seen how bad life can be and the childhood innocence he had was torn from him at a young age. Unlike Angelo he never held onto it after losing his biological mom and dad. Sunshine was found by Lumera attempting to outrun pursuing Shadow Dragons in the city of Las Vegas. He was promptly rescued by the rag tag band of survivors from the Hellion Base ambush consisting of; Lumera, Terrance, Suicune, Wildfire, Inkuna, and K.I.T.T (whom Lumera ran into shortly after fleeing the base). He has stayed with Lumera ever since and plans to grow up to be the best soldier, despite Lumera's protests. 

Physical Description

Sunshine is a young Light Dragon hatchling (currently) that was named so for his bright yellow and gold colors. Sunshine's colors are a gradient that start at yellowish beige, go to yellowish beige, to beige and then to pinkish beige in color. His scales are a lot smoother and are more leathery than tough; like actual dragon scale is. His underbelly isn't covered in scales it is actually made up of a thick fur that is defensive in nature and white in color. Sunshine has a crest of golden feathers that grow around his head and under his horns; he has a few small ones that grow on the top of his head and go back to the crest. Behind his cheeks Sunshine has a long strand of feathers that hang down the side of his face. He has golden feathers that run from his crest along his spine and all the way down to the tip of his tail which ends in a large plume of feathers. Along Sunshine's elbows and rear hips he has a clump of golden feathers that flow out.

Around his head Sunshine has a crest of pearl white horns (that glisten and change colors like an actual pearl does) that are very curvy and curly. In total he has four horns on each side of his head, the two near the top of his head being thinner and more curved than the ones on the sides of his head, which are thicker at the base. Sunshine has long and thin spines, which are also pearl white in color, that run from the top of his head all the way down stopping before the tip of his tail. Since he is a hatchling all of his horns and spines are currently rather flexible. Sunshine possess a pair of dazzling golden wings which his body scales blend into. His wings are like that of a normal dragon possessing the membranous wings with wing fingers. However, the upper half of Sunshine's wings are covered in golden feathers. He also has an extra wing digit at the top of his wings that make it easier to grab onto things when climbing. At the end of each of Sunshine's wing fingers there is a small talon, which allows him to make painful wing scratches, along with a small bundle of golden feathers. Finally, Sunshine's claws, like his wing talons, are all black in color. 

Blood:

Sunshine's blood is Bronze in color as a result of being a Light Dragon of the Virtue of Bravery/Courage. He inherited his courage from his father, whom also had Bronze Blood. His mother, on the other hand, had White Blood due to the Virtue of Purity. 

Elemental Abilities

Since Sunshine is currently a hatchling he does not have a lot of Elemental Attacks at his disposal. However, Sunshine is a Light Elemental and, as a result, controls one of the most powerful elements out there. This means he will be quite a powerful individual when he matures. Currently Sunshine knows only one Light Attack.

Shinning Slash: Sunshine's paw becomes encased in solidified photons forming a huge sphere of light which then forms out around his claws. He then lunges at the enemy slicing them in a dazzling slash of light energy that cuts straight through the enemy.

Personality

Sunshine, before the death of his parents, was a happy go lucky child who was incredibly excited about all aspects of life. Shielded from the harsh reality of the world and the war consuming it he knew barely anything of the evil shadows that prowled around the outskirts of the many worlds in the multiverse. Upon witnessing the demise of his family and being forced to flee his home into another world Sunshine's childhood innocence was violently torn from him. The reality of the war and the monstrous creatures known as Shadow Dragons shocked him into the real world before he was really ready. As a result Sunshine grew up a bit more serious and focused as opposed to his peers who still remained happy and carefree through the rest of their childhood. While Sunshine did take a childish glee with some things he still took on a very serious disposition as he realized the war was a serious thing constantly hanging over everyone's heads. In a way Sunshine grew up similar to how Lumera did, except he maintained his self-confidence. Sunshine is also a very brave and courageous individual who does not fear confronting the Shadow Dragons who harm or threaten those he loves. 

Bio

Sunshine lived a carefree start to his childhood, hidden away from the horrors of reality and the Great War with the Shadow Dragons. His family wanted to hide out from the Shadow Dragons whom, after the destruction of the Light Planet, had begun to hunt down the remaining Light Dragons that existed. So they built their own home out in the mountains of the Earth Planet Gaia. For quite a while they lived there peacefully and untouched by the effects of the war, though Sunshine's parents were always on edge out of fear of Shadow Dragons having found them. One day while Sunshine was out playing on his own in the forest surrounding the mountains he heard an explosion along with a bunch of roars coming from the direction of his house. Fearing for the lives of his parents he took off for his home and ran back as fast as he could. Sadly, he was too late. When Sunshine got there he saw the door to his home torn open and when he peered inside he saw his parents' lifeless forms lying before a hideous, pitch black monstrosity of a Shadow Dragon with piercing blue slits in the dark pits of his eyes. His maw was stained with Bronze and White Light Dragon blood. Sunshine was frozen in terror at the sight of his dead parents and would have stayed stock still had it not been the order roared from his parents' murderer.

"KILL THAT ONE TOO. NO LIGHT DRAGONS MUST BE LEFT!" It screamed.

Out of fear and instinct Sunshine took off like a shot, rushing through the forest and dodging shadow shots from his pursuers. After a bit Sunshine began to lose his stamina and was falling back. It started to look as if he might just get caught by the Shadow Dragons who were hot on his heels. However, before they could lunge at him a portal opened beneath him and Sunshine fell through into a large city with hundreds of tall buildings covered in shinning bright lights. Keeping himself on track Sunshine didn't let himself get too distracted by the new place he landed in and hid behind a metal box. No sooner after he hid the Shadow Dragons came crashing through the portal as well.

"What the?? The human world?? How did he open this portal?" One of the monsters snarled.

"I doubt it was him! He was too young you idiot! If anything it was probably one of those goodie goodie Team Light soldiers. They do have that one Time and Space dragon Tempus!!" Another growled.

"Whatever or whoever did this doesn't matter you daft idiots! We just lost a Light Dragon Hatchling!! A HATCHLING!!! LeSalle will KILL US!!" A third hissed. "Now that we are in the human world, we can't just go trotting around as ourselves. The humans will see and Team Light along with Unit E will come for us!"

"Awww man does that mean we need to take our fleshy human disguises?? I HATE being a stinky, fleshy human!" The first shadow dragon whined.

"Can it you dumbs***! Either you take your human form or I will take your head. There is NO WAY I am reporting back to LeSalle without that hatchling!" The third Shadow Dragon retorted viciously.

From behind the metal box Sunshine watched as the three monsters took on the forms of bipedal fleshy creatures with tufts of fur on their heads.

"Now spread out and find that brat!" The third Shadow Dragon snarled.

Once they disappeared Sunshine allowed himself to relax for a bit before the weight of everything he just went through came crashing down on him. Sunshine immediately started crying upon realizing his parents were REALLY dead and not coming back. His squeaking sobs resounded from behind the metal box, despite his best efforts to smother them in his wings, grabbing the attention of the owner of a rather fancy Las Vegas restaurant.

"You dang CATS! I told you all to stay out of my garbage! You pests!" He yelled throwing a spatula at the metal box.

Upon the utensil making contact with the metal box, which was actually a trash bin, a loud CLANG sounded snapping Sunshine to his senses and sending him into a panicked state. In an instant he rushed out from behind the trash bin, catching the restaurant owner off guard.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?!" He screamed as Sunshine darted by his feathers flying everywhere in a panic.

Just as Sunshine turned the corner from behind the restaurant into an alley he heard a gruff snarl.

"THERE IT IS THERE'S THE BRAT! KILL IT!!!" The Shadow Dragon leader snarled.

A panicked scream ripped itself from Sunshine's throat as he ran out of the alley and into an open plaza behind some empty buildings. At the same time he came out of the alley, a sleek black Trans AM had slowed to a stop on the road opposite the plaza before turning onto the pavement and rushing towards him. Sunshine saw it out of the corner of his eye and tried to turn away from it, but the vehicle turned, curving neatly around him and blocking the path of the Shadow Dragons. Before Sunshine could do anything more he heard shouting closing in from behind the vehicle.

"SHADOW DRAGONS?! BACK OFF OF THE HATCLING YOU MONSTERS!" A tall bipedal woman snarled, she had pitch black wavy hair that went all the way down her back. Red tattoos formed around her eyes and her forehead and she carried a black axe in her hands.

"Get them! Don't let them escape back to where they came!" Another woman roared, she had reddish brown hair and wore a battle outfit that seemed to have blazing flames sewn into it.

"Suicune! Go help Inkuna and Wildfire!" A tall woman in gold and white armor ordered as a blue wolf-like creature took off after the two other women. The woman in gold armor turned to the petrified hatchling.

"Are you alright little one?" She asked.

Sunshine, in his fear, whined and pushed himself up against the fender of the black vehicle.

"Oi mate! You needn't fear Lumera! She will protect ya!" A small bird like creature spoke from the hood of the car. "You are in the midst of Team Light now! You are under our protection and no harm will come t' ya!" He squawked.

Upon hearing the names Lumera and Team Light Sunshine calmed down. His parents had told him stories about Team Light and how they were great creatures that protected defenseless ones from vicious monsters.

"If you are Lumera. Why are you not a dragon?" Sunshine asked.

"Well ya see. She needs to hide herself from the humans, they aren't all ready to see dragons." The bird thing replied.

"Like the monsters? They said they needed to hide from the humans so that you all wouldn't find them." Sunshine spoke.

"Well that is why they hide, but we found them anyways. It's a good thing we did as well. Since they were chasing you. Do you know why they were?" Lumera asked, sitting down next to the hatchling.

Sunshine was quite for a bit before speaking. "They.... killed my mommy and daddy." He stated softly.

"Then they chased you?" Lumera sighed sadly. "I am so so sorry little one. I am so sorry."

A little while later the two women and wolf creature returned. "Commander Lumera the Shadow Dragons have been dealt with. They will not be returning to anyone ever again." The woman in the fiery outfit replied.

"Good!" Lumera lightly growled.

"How is the little one?" The woman with the black hair and red markings asked.

"He is doing well..but is very shaken. Those monsters killed his parents and then went after him." She replied.

"Bast****!" The wolf creature, named Suicune hissed.

"Easy Suicune you daft dunce! Tis a child in our midst." The bird like creature retorted.

Lumera decided to stop the potential conflict and changed subjects. "What is your name young one?" She asked.

"Sunshine...Sunshine Dawnbreaker." He numbly replied.

"Well Sunshine..I am Lumera, as you already know. That is Suicune over there." She stated, pointing to the wolf-like creature.

"Over there is Terrance." She said pointing to the bird creature who bowed.

"The woman in the fire armor is Wildfire, my second in command. The woman next to her is Inkuna Gami a Colonel in the Elemental Corps." She stated pointing to the fighters.  

"And this!" She said, patting the hood of the car. "Is K.I.T.T! He was the one who saw you before any of us."

Sunshine smiled for the first time and turned to face the car. "Thank you for spotting me and helping save me Mr. K.I.T.T" Sunshine stated, bowing his head.

"You're welcome Sunshine." The car replied.

"Thank you all for saving me." Sunshine said as he turned to face the rest of Team Light who all replied a 'You're Welcome' in unison.

Lumera looked around a bit before speaking next. "Sunshine, we have to take off now. We can't stay in one place for too long, unfortunately Shadow Dragons are after us as well. It is safer for you to stay with us; a hatchling shouldn't be out here on their own. That is if you want to come with us back to Team Light?" She asked.

Sunshine nodded furiously. "Of course I would want to come with you!" He squeaked.

In response to his reply K.I.T.T opened his passenger door. "Then hop on in."

Sunshine did so happily.

Relationships

Lumera Lightstar 

Though not at first, Sunshine eventually grew to view Lumera as a motherly figure and eventually accepted her as his new mom (of course never to replace his biological mother). He was very thankful that she rescued him and has looked up to her ever since. He enjoys following her around the F.L.A.G Foundation property and never really leaves her side. He wants to be just like her when he grows up and lead Team Light like she does.

Terrance, Inkuna Gami, Wildfire Phoenixheart, Suicune Lightstar

He views them as his guardians and looks up to each and all of them for their qualities of fearlessness, strength, courage, and leadership. He likes to hang with them and train his abilities as well as listen to their stories of triumph against the Shadow Dragons. He is always seen with Lumera and the group of them. He feels safe around this band as they are his saviors.

K.I.T.T

Sunshine really likes K.I.T.T and sees him as a protector like Lumera and the others. He likes to be taken on drives with him and Michael Knight. He likes to listen to K.I.T.T's lectures on the sciences and also listens to the knowledge he shares. Sunshine is CONVINCED Kitt Katt candy bars were named after K.I.T.T and will never be told otherwise.
