Catherine Blue

Catherine Blue (née Maire) is a 43-year-old doctor and surgeon. She's very caring, but she's under a big workload due to the war.

Personality and Character

Catherine is caring and lovable. She's loyal to her loved ones, and always tries to make them happy even through little ways. She's overall a good mom. She also knows how to ask other people for help. Though she can be very stubborn sometimes, and she usually has a hard time coping with stress. Thankfully, she has relatives and friends willing to help her in difficult situations. Her emotions are also pretty unstable: She can be very happy for a second, then immediately very upset.

Catherine is autistic (though she wouldn't be considered autistic in 1940s terms). She struggles with understanding social cues, sometimes takes things too literally, and gets disturbed from slimy textures and bad smells, and can get sensory overloads due to them. She wears gloves when she has to touch slimy textures, and plugs her nose when she has to stay in a place that smells bad. She stims when she's nervous, excited, or stressed by rubbing her hand(s) on a rough texture (such as rough fabric) or by playing with her hair. Her special interest is medicine, though she's no 'savant'. She's also a very picky eater- she refuses to eat anything she finds too sweet, too sour, or too spicy. Linked to this, it's very hard for her to try new food (and fun fact: She always orders pasta or chips/french fries in restaurants, as long as they're on the menu).

Slimy textures - Slimy textures makes Catherine disturbed very much. Whenever she has to touch a slimy texture, she wears gloves to avoid sensory overloads.
Bad smells - Bad smells can also lead to sensory overloads for Catherine. Whenever she has to be in an environment that smells bad, she plugs her nose.
Bad stress management - Catherine finds coping with stress difficult.
