He's generally considered to be pretty grumpy and strict by a lot of cats.  He's not very social and is not very good at socializing in general.  Still, he has a softer side that really cares about his family.  He's tries to be a good father and husband, but he can get a little protective and strict, and have a temper (especially with his kids).  He's trying to ease up though and better himself, but he doesn't want for them to get hurt.  He didn't have the best example of a father either, but a part of that just pushes him more to try and be a better one for his kids.  He went from being an oc of mine that I don't like, to one I do due to his slow redemption.

For a bit on a past, he was friends with a rogue as a kit and young apprentice.  He tried to keep it secret because his father was very against the idea of outside cats in the territory and the Clans.  When his father caught him, things didn't go well and the rogue ended up fighting back--- hence the cut in Vineslash's ear.  This made the relationship with his father even more troubled.  It only got worse when he started blaming Vineslash for the death of his mother.  All this started to build up that tough, aggressive exterior Vineslash has.  His father's thoughts got pushed on him a little too.  Now, as Vineslash has kits of his own, his past gets a little tested as his daughter is dating a rogue.
