Name is a large, amphibian(?) creature that seems to be a relative of leeches. It is an omnivore, although it primarily survives through hematophagy. It has strangely human arms along the length of its body, and seems to be the only one of its kind. It's unknown if it is a vertebrate as all attempts to find out have failed.

It is sentient, emotional, and strong, it doesn't even seem like it can be physically hurt. It can understand english and may understand other languages. It seems to be friendly unless it is hurt (with exceptions, it will suck anyones blood if it is hungry), if it selects you it may be best to just accept it as resisting may make it hostile.

Name doesn't seem to reproduce in a traditional sense, instead, it infects other living beings, its infection's effects can range wildly; from making one look barely different, to making them into horrific monsters several times its own size. Those who have been infected usually act the same as before, although they may act slightly different (ie. being more agressive towards others or more possessive of things they like) and/or need to eat more than before.

It tends to stay in forests and small cities, although it could be found anywhere. It seems to follow specific people around, the reason why could be connected to how it shows affection.
