pixies are often seen as a nuisance, creating hives in attics and aggressively defending their territories from wildlife and townsfolk alike. they can be conniving and clever, and are sometimes quite beautiful, though they lack the intelligence and magical capabilities of their fairy counterparts.

bat is a cave pixie who was smuggled into the black market at a young age, then sold as a pet to a dubious gentleman with a knack for thievery. since then he has learned how to tie a variety of knots, communicate through rudimentary sign language and pick locks on command. he’s also quite adept at clawing out eyeballs.

sometimes when he misses the cold climate of his birthplace, he will sleep in the icebox on a pillow of frozen peas.
