Salvaged

While rummaging through the latest garbage dump from the city above, CORONA, disgraced robotacist Vlack VuL finds the remains of a state-of-the-art automaton. She's extremely familiar, as if Vlack has always known how it fits together. He does so, and is shocked to find it's not only working, but alive. THe oily shard imbeded in her machinery in place of a power source. Never having children of his own, Vlack adopts Tari as his own.

Unfortunately for Tari, Vlack lives amoung an anti-tech religiois group, fiercely devoted to the slumbering beast underfoot. Being both organic and robot, the odds were stacked against Tari from the beginning. Her childhood was spent lonely, her only companions her father and her father's guard who taught her how to shoot.

Things evened out after a while, Tari finding her place as an outpost guard, until one day a strange creature approaches. It's docile and clearly a baby, so Tari brings it back home. To the group's dismay, it resembles the vague descriptions of the beast, it's offspring the harbinger of the apocalypse. Tari is accused of stealing it to further CORONA's efforts and is cast out. The group attempts to hold the cub, but Tari sneaks it away and returns it to it's home.

Homeless, Tari wandered the wastes, unable to repair or maintain herself. She eventually tries to go back to the group for help, just in time for them to see swallowed up by the earth. Presumed dead by those above, Tari met the beast of legend herself. She was given an ultimatum: care for my daughter and I will care for you as my own. Now forever indebted, Tari spends her days hunting and keeping watch over Hannah, th cub. It's not such a bad deal.

Abduction

When the beast is toen from the earth and taken to CORONA, VuL's fauna and flora turns on itself. THe already hostile planet is not uninhabitable. Worse, the beast's capture will mean her death, and Hannah is meant to destroy the planet and create a new one. She's much too young, so Tari is the only one who can bring Hannah's mother home and stop the implosion of everything she knows. All she needs is a way into CORONA.
