The experience of moving to a new city has been harsh on Aoki. She has enrolled into a new university and is trying desperately to find her place in the unfamiliar circumstances. She's even managed to land a job in a clothing store after being picked off the street for her look.
The university she enrolled in is pretty lax about rules, despite having uniforms, and she's allowed to wear a boys' uniform. This is mostly just due to her discomfort dressing in skirts in general, mostly because she finds it impractical.
In the midst of all this newness, she meets a girl of similar age; she can't help but want to help her out - that's just how Aoki is as a person, and the two quickly become friends. But perhaps, something more bubbles underneath the surface.

Aoki's face rarely portrays what she is feeling inside, so she is prone to being misunderstood. She tends to calmly correct people when that happens, but her disposition causes friction with certain types of people. She is often mistaken for "having no emotions". She struggles to maintain friendships.
However, what lay truly beneath all of these preconceived notions is a girl who just wants to help people out. She has a kind streak, and tends to try and give a hand wherever she can. This often causes people to get more agitated by her because of how she looks. It's a constant struggle.

A cheerful girl that Aoki chances upon and helps out of a pickle. The two of them immediately hit it it off, differences and all, and Aoki quickly develops a crush on her.
Of course, she is not foolish enough to not understand that idols don't follow the same rules as "normal people" and how risky this whole affair is. However, when Chiharu expresses mutual interest, will she really just be able to say no because of that?
- Aoki has had piercings made several times over the years; the ones in her ears were done before age 18, and she just had the one in her lip put in about a year prior when she was 18 years old. She has thoughts of getting more.
- She likes skating and will rarely be seen around without her skateboard. This is also a huge reason why she tends to wear pants; she thinks it's ridiculous to try and skate in skirts, though she does see other girls doing it; it's not for her.
- Her style normally can be interpreted as more or less andro-gynous, making it hard for people to tell that she is a girl. However, when she wears her boys' uniform, people will tend to mistake her for a boy almost all of the time. She is nice enough to simply apologize and correct them; after all, she does know what kind of vibe she is giving off by dressing that way. Surprisingly, this style of hers makes her popular with both men and women, and she's dated a number of different people, not with much luck due to how they interpret her personality.
