Ringo and Hatsu was quite of an anomaly. They were born to a quirkless mother, and had immediately seen how the society treats people without quirks. Angered by this, the two vowed to never rely on their quirks, finding that it is an unjust privilege that they don't deserve. Instead, they focus more on improving their non-quirk talents. Ringo, the older and much more level-headed twin, is a genius with technology, building many advanced weapons with scraps and his mind alone. Hatsu, younger and ill-tempered, found that his talent lies on beating the hell out of people, though he also had his brother's affinity with technology.

They entered U.A. to prove that people don't need to rely on quirks to be a hero.
