Paul Breen

Dr. Paul Breen was once the beloved superhero Thunderheart, part of a duo with Lightningstorm, his closest friend and unrequited love. He once wore his heart on his sleeve (or his chest, rather), but now keeps it tucked away. When Lightningstorm let fame and power go to his head, often acting with far more violence than necessary in battles against minor supervillains, Thunder often had to hold him back and make sure he kept a lid on his temper. Lightningstorm grew bitter of this and cast Thunderheart away, attacking and abandoning him in the desert. Thunderheart was later forced to kill Lightningstorm when thousands of lives in a city were put at risk by Lightning's pride. Ever since then, Paul has shelved the persona of Thunderheart and grown jaded and bitter, though his natural compassion led him to pursuing a medical degree. Begrudgingly protective and caring of the people around him. Plays piano and banjo. Flight and rain powers. Something may cause him to return to the world of heroing...
