I have a pair of twins who are fighting the equivalent of a necromancy zombie outbreak

Yee so like the premise for this world is a group of necromancy fanatics starts playing around with some serious stuff and basically turn themselves into undead monstrosities that look like wolves (their spell was using wolf bones) and they essentially become a new magical beast that wields that magic and spreads across the land like a plague bringing forth the undead.

The largest kingdoms pulled their mages inwards and created massive wards that keep the beasts and their undead out, but the cost is limited farmland and resources. So obviously they can't just let in survivors and the like.

But anyway the two twins lived in a small village that became consumed by this undead horde and had to make their escape. There had been whispers of the plague but like the spread of information was kind of shit. So all they know is to avoid the creatures and to travel toward one of the castles.

They were pretty young at the time of this too, so like minimal survival skills, lots of danger, difficulty with direction, etc. The boy is a nervous child and the girl is a bit of a tomboy and idk what name I gave the boy but the girl is named Illya.

Illya - Red hair, green eyes, freckles ofc, a bit of a rough type and is better with survival than her brother

Fen - Brown Hair, Hazel Eyes, softer and more uncertain of himself but he is better with knowledge, might even learn magic if the opportunity presents itself. He depends on Illya for a lot, but eventually will learn and eventually prove himself crucial to their survival.
