Known online for their daily streams and infinite humor, Mourning Dove is a competitive gamer and content creator. They have grown a sizable community over the years, but they always aim to create a warm and welcoming space for everypony.
On their off days, they love chatting with their friends, exploring the local coffee shops, and thrifting.

Mourning Dove is typically rather kind and welcoming. They try to default to warm friendliness whenever meeting new ponies. But they have terrible RBF sometimes. So they come off as intimidating sometimes. They are incredibly dedicated and hard working, sometimes working themselves a bit too hard and forgetting to take breaks.
Despite the name they have made for themselves, Mourning Dove is actually a rather shy pony. They prefer to keep to themselves and become easily flustered in crowds or around strangers.
They are very protective over their loved ones, almost to a fault. They may struggle to stand up for themselves but they will certainly put down a hoof in defense of their friends. Mourning Dove may not make friends easily, but they try and be the absolute best one they can be to the ones they have got.
Mourning Dove is a long legged, mostly black unicorn with fades of a yellow-gold color on their hooves and horn. Their eyes are a more ruddy, red color. Their mane and tail are cut short, giving them both a slight wave, and are a dull strawberry wine color.

Death is a difficult business, but as far as Mourning Dove is concerned, that's just the family business. Quite literally. Their family owns and runs a funeral home along the outskirts of Seaddle. Being the eldest, their parents always anticipated them taking over one day. They grew up learning all the ins and outs of the burial process. Mourning Dove has always been rather accustomed to being around it, which may come off as a bit unnerving to others.
But they never really felt drawn to their work. They respected it, of course, and everything their parents did. But it didn't mean they were meant for it too. It didn't help that their cutie mark was taking its time showing up! They started taking it upon themselves to try and figure out what their calling really was.
It happens by accident. They had taken up quite a few hobbies, and on a whim chose to enter a video game competition in San Franciscolt. Not only did they come back home with the prize money and a newly earned title, but also their cutie mark.
They were a bit worried about talking it over with their parents, but they were fairly supportive. After all, how could they argue with something that they seem destined to do and brought them so much joy?
Mourning Dove decided to move further into the city, finding the commute rather taxing. But it still left them close enough to their family so that they could visit one another. Being on their own, at first, really took a toll on them. They struggled to find a path for themselves and a real balance in their life.
Competitive gaming was one thing, but when they took up streaming, their world really opened. Mourning Dove adores their community and getting to meet them at various competitions and conventions has been a highlight in their life. They have really started to flourish in recent years, establishing themselves in both their social and professional life.
It's not easy by any means. But they know it'll be worth it in the end.

This duo met online a few years ago and they have been inseparable ever since. They bonded a lot over shared experiences and interests. They will be up all night chatting if you let them.
Mourning Dove literally has no idea where they would be without her.

Mourning Dove met him back in school, and the two have been partners for quite a few years. He is their foil in many ways, including being more extroverted and social. But the two love geeking out together.
They got married not too long ago! And they simply adore one another.
