Story | Born as a result of an arranged marriage without love, Kai went the first years of his life feeling neglected and alone.
He did his best to gain the approval of his father with his every action and the affection of his mother, seemingly all to no avail.
One day he decided to venture out past the forest line separating them from the Helia Clan, who abhorred them.
After being gone for a few hours, he decided it was time to return home, where he was surprisingly greeted by the desperate embrace of his weeping mother.
Seeing her cry was in no way something new for him, in fact she did it quite often, but it had never been for him. That day something changed within her and they became much closer.
But like everything else, all things come to an end.
For Kai, the birth of his brother marked the beginning of a series of losses; starting with the mysterious death of his mother and a declaration of war to come between the two clans.
After some years of quiet tension, the Helia Clan attacked without warning - and worst of all - without remorse; the fateful day of the RedBay incident.
During the commotion, Kai found himself trapped in a man-made contraption before unexpectedly being released by enemy clan's chief himself, Slander, but not before leaving him with a cryptic message:
"Do your part and he'll take care of the rest. But mark my words, if you interfere, you WILL perish.
Now get going and don't look back. There's nothing left here for you, I've made sure of that."
Had he been saved, or was he being set up for something worse? Kai would not know the answer to this question for many, many more years to come.
