Story | Born to a trusted and high-standing family within the clan, Era is  one of the two nominated youth guards tasked with growing and living  alongside the chief's son.

Training was rigorous and at times harsh, but she finally reaches the desirable level of skills as a main guard by age 16.

Having grown alongside the chieftain's son, Slander, she had learned about his goals greatly differing from those of his father. 

And while her fellow main guards were not too fond of the idea, she was silently glad for him. 

So  when the future chieftain announced to them his plan to spend a few  months living with the adversary clan of Neroasyl in hopes of building  trust that could lead to an alliance, 

Era  thought to herself she had seen this coming a mile away, even though  she shared the uneasiness everyone else did at such a drastic change in  their political approach.

Never could  she have predicted such a peaceful sentiment would lead to one of the  most twisted turn of events for their and the neighboring clans.

One that would lead to the genocide of the Neroasyl by Helia's people, and more disturbingly yet, 

her own contribution towards said onslaught under the command of the man who had once preached about peace and understanding.

The man she had unconditionally sworn her loyalty to, a vow only broken by death.

Trivia | The scar on her lips was caused by Slander after she saved his life from his partner, Illimis, during the Helia Rebellion. 

A part of her always wondered if everything would have ended right then and there had she let it happen.

A part of her also wondered if maybe that's what he had secretly wanted.
