Occupation: Engineer

🪖💀 With his odd proportions, skeleton-like frame, and baggy eyes, Salvador isn’t the most approachable guy. He’s one of the older folks in his group, so he’s usually supervising the youngsters once a project is initiated. Whether it be constructing a makeshift bridge, deactivating bombs, or paving the way for the troops’ vehicles, he’s got his hands full, muddy, and all scratched up.

⛓ Mad Sal considered the Summer of ’44 “the most interesting season ever”. His group arrived weeks after the Normandy Landings, and, therefore, had the task of maintaining the roads from Utah to Omaha. Unfortunately, the Germans fought against the engineers, taking Mad Sal as a POW not once, not twice, but three times. And yet, with his tools, wit, and camouflage, he made quite the escape each time.

He hails from the Old West, but is of Mexican descent. Before the war began, he picked up a few hobbies, including rope-making, sharpshooting, and even metalworking. Things weren’t great for him back home, but he claims he “hasn’t reached rock-bottom, but Devil’s Peak”. In …other words, despite getting captured, beaten, lost, and placed under rapid fire, he strives to push forward and “burn that bridge when he gets there”.
