Kontar: Dead of Night (defensive form)
This Kontar has bright markings and a glowing mask which are supposed to scare off all other living beings around. It has probably experienced something extremely traumatic and lives now in a constant state of fear.

Kontare are known for their powerful ability to adapt to any environment and situation within days. They change colors often, their marks always matching their environment. Their long, hyena-like manes protect their otherwise vulnerable necks from attackers. Kontare appear in three forms: their wild form (most common, almost all wild living Kontare have this form), the defensive form (mutation caused by the individual experiencing severe trauma and growing sharp bone structures as a defense) and the royal form (bred by humans, known for golden markings).
