Illegal midwife (they need doctors so bad so they just let him). On Sakhilin for medical malpractice. he is somehow still one of the best doctors on the island. believes bleeding is wrong unless it comes from leeches. Other women on the island are like ok you're weird but he is genuinely good at delivering babies and is very kind to the women. Definitely yells at Viktor all the time and forces him to wheel him around when he's tired.
