His lack of contact with other species makes him see the good in others pretty easily although he can be too innocent at times, neglecting his own safety or true identity. Allen's origins and home planet remain a complete mystery to this day.
During one of his space trips (with unknown motives) his ship suffered a malfunction causing him to crash onto Earth, trapping them on an alien world. While they were unconscious and trapped between the branches of a tree, a couple humans (a young kid and his grandpa) who were passing by rescued and shelter them. They were fascinated by Allen's sudden arrival. They taught him the human language, cultures, and customs.
At first he was desperate to get back home, but he didn't have the means to fix his spaceship or send out an SOS signal. Over time he began to admire humans for their ways of expressing themselves and having fun, stopping his repairing attempts and deciding to stay on Earth.
Allen is unsure about human's acceptance towards extraterrestial creatures so he remains under cover, revealing his true identity to a very lucky few with whom he has great trust. So he set the goal of becoming the first non human celebrity from outer space through social media, comforting humans with the possibility of non-violent aliens visiting their planet and increasing Earth's tourism industry and popularity.
