Lepida Hyptera

A stage magician who also works as a private investigator. She uses her wings like a cape during her acts, but they’re the real deal. She also keeps her antenna under her hat, so maybe she’s hiding that she isn’t human…?

Her friends would call her Lepi, if she had any, but unfortunately her slight better-than-you attitude and distaste for many of the people around her has prevented her from forming any real relationships. It’s a lonely life, and she’s not the happiest of people, though she won’t really admit it to herself and acts perfectly content in public, always maintaining a cool, confident demeanor around others. She’s bored and exhausted with the world around her, but she tries to tell herself she likes it that way.

To her, life is a competition, and she must be Winning, and if she is not Winning, she must be Losing. This is not good for her mental state no matter which she perceives herself as at a given time. She’s obsessed with being more successful than other people, and resents people she sees as more successful than her, as other people “winning” means she is losing. She’s “fine” when she feels like she’s on the track to winning, but if she makes too many mistakes she becomes depressed and angry.
