Vest

Vest is the Essence of ice and shadow, and one of three dark essences not imprisoned. He often takes the form of a cat

Vest is chill yet jolly person who loves the company of others. He's always up to something such as popping up out of nowhere to crack a joke or taking a hike, whether it be for escapism or to release energy. Sometimes he has trouble listening and can be a bit overbearing, but he'll definitely be apologetic about it if it's brought up

Relationship-wise, he's the right-hand man of Tenebris, most characterize them as having an evil overlord/second-in-command  relation but in reality they were closer than brothers and just liked to do dumb things together. The rest of the shadow essences saw him as an uncle-figure, but in the time of the war between the essences Vest did not join their side which confused them. He ran away with another essence, Sabrina and slowly the two of them fell in love and had Kismet, Silverstand, Goldenvalor, Cinder and all their siblings who founded Sanctuary. In the present he's either residing in his mountain, welcoming any and all travelers who visit, in the company of his family, or exploring the worlds as he pleases.
