Arlo is a perfect spooky boy and he always says goodbye on the ouija board. He likes hiking and exploring and fashion and photography. The fact that his feet often emit an ectoplasmic mist raises some concerns, but it’s probably fine. He gives the impression of being easily startled, but in reality it’s just that the world is extra startling for him.
He has the ability to see ghosts, which sounds fun and cool until you realise how dang many of them there in most places. Sure, you’ve got your Grey Ladies and your Black Monks and so forth that most anyone can see, but those don’t represent more than a fraction of the souls that linger on the earth. Most of them mind their own business. Some of them are friendly or even companionable, especially animal ghosts. Some of them get ectoplasm in his tea. Some of them don’t manifest until he’s only a couple of feet away, and whether it’s deliberate or not they still do him a frighten. But the worst are the ones that even he can’t see, only feel them and hear their indistinct muttering.
He’s also actually kinda scared of ghosts so really, if someone else could have this power and he could get invisibility or something instead, that’d be cool,,
