Profile
Cynthia Yeung is a Hong Kong experimental musician.
Yeung was born in Hong Kong in 1952. She was classically trained in piano. Both of her parents worked in electrical engineering; it was through this connection that she was introduced to the Moog synthesiser.
Throughout the tail end of the 60s into the 1970s, she experimented and composed with the Moog, creating music for TV idents and advertisements. Further into the decade and onwards she would self-produce her own experimental albums, which went unnoticed at the time but developed a cult following later on.
